Oh Bollocks..................

DuMa 06-19-2015 09:20 PM

somehow im surprised they didnt do it sooner. Most tracks have a lap record times from 1 minute to 2 or possibly 3 for a longer track.

Pushing a car 100% pedal to the medal for 7+minutes at a long sweeping track like the Ring is just asking for a lot of luck and variables to all go your way.

Its kinda crazy to describe the deviation of the lap record times between the Ring and the rest of the tracks around the world.

Car kills spectator at a race. Not during a record attempt. Maybe they should ban races($$$). Or make the track safer($$$), or at least where the spectators are at. Record attempts are much more controlled and safer(?) than a race.

With no official sanctioning body for the records, they were always debated anyway.

Long live the King.

Careful what you joke about. Switzerland banned Motorsport event for the last 60 years for something like this that didn't even happen in their country.

On the contrary, I believe May would be rather glad about it being ban.

So not every damn car have suspension equiped with perverted german science for a bloke to brag about.

Switzerland also has universal health care, nearly no poverty and 3% unemployment. :D

I'm not joking. I am just saying they are going about it the wrong way. Risk management and damage control. Banning the one thing that gets them attention year round is not the solution. Making the track safer is, but it's not a safety sport to begin with. Cars are much faster in recent years and not much has changed for safety(or the track) in many years other than the hans system. The danger is what makes it exciting. It's called the green hell for a reason. RIP to the guy who died.

Don't forget guns, gold and kickass timepieces. It's on my short list of potential counties to go to if I leave Japan.

The radical is still almost half a minute slower than the porsche 956 that lapped the 'ring as well.

Sure did

With those speed limits, I believe that a lightly modded FRS/BRZ/86 would be ideal to run at full potential all over the track :D
