Inb4: "So i play NFS, bought a sweet FRS, turboed it and it is awesome, how much money will it cost to have a real life version of my NFS car?"

Havn't watched it yet but I really hope this game is closer to Underground 2 or Most Wanted. God I miss playing those games....

I actually hope the game's play style is more similar to Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune or Tokyo Extreme Racer.

Don't know if you played the most recent NFS, but they seem to be mixing parts of that (Open World, etc.) with Underground.

The neat thing is they're actually working with Speedhunters and car people to get actual IRL tuning options.

The BRZ had the KSMASH / RB kit, Work wheels, etc.

The FMV from the demo was Fast and Furious levels of cheese though. The gameplay looked alright, though.

I know how to drive this car! I did it all the time on NFS!!!!

Video link is a live session? No NFS to be found (unless I skipped past it)

We can add them to the threads we already have!

Like looking to run 600whp, no more, not trying to push it too hard because I want it to be reliable. Will I need a tune?

And then engine blows two weeks later- God these fa20 engines are crap my engine blew and I was only pushing 600whp! Bro your tune was bad. It's all about the tune

I played the reboot and while it was fun for a week or two it got boring very quick. I'm hoping for NFS Carbon levels of customization where you could fine tune all the different pieces of the car but I don't think a dev will ever put that much time into a NFS game ever again.

The real important note from the day is that Gears 4 is happening and i can play Gears 3 on my One again!!!!

Everybody go to 43:00! Joe dirt and his crew rep the streets!

Asseto Corsa and PCars are where I go for realism / sim nowadays, but no racer has dethroned Burnout Paradise as my "fun" racing game.

Microsoft has killed it this E3, EA's presentation is a joke by comparison.

As a PC player though, Dark Souls III was the best news so far.

I timestamped it but for when it doesn't work (YouTube, yay!) it's around 40:00 in. Giant Bomb's commentary on E3 is always hilarious so I went off their stream.

He saw Nakai-San work a build once.

GhostRai 06-15-2015 07:29 PM

I couldn't take the customization part in the beginning seriously, because the song that was playing reminded me of this video:
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29FGLOCUggo"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29FGLOCUggo[/ame]

I was getting interesting in it, until I saw that drifting made the camera switch to a stupid angle where you can't see anything.

I'm still waiting on GT7. These games do nothing for me

I'm going to buy the game just to build sick cars.. I'll save the real racing for Gran Turismo or Forza ;)

Watched the demo.

The customisation looks great. I wonder how many parts they actually have. If it's more than just one option from each company then I might get it just for the customisation fun it'll have. I used to love building crazy cars in NFS Carbon and still do love making them in Forza.

The racing gameplay looks like total dog shit though. But it's NFS so it's expected.

Forza Horizon 1 & 2 have come close to the level of Burnour Paradise for me.

If they improved the crash physics on Horizon it would be near perfect.

This depresses me to a degree that few will understand.

I'm with you on this one.

The drift camera was freaking stupid, it looked like the driving was heavily influenced by EA's previous NFS failures, er.. "Games" and finally, now we're going to have the forum full of even more idiots that think they can get 400 horsepower from this car without a tune.

The only good thing I saw was the typical Underground thru Most Wanted terribad acting. To me, it was kind of a post mark of the Underground series.

DarrenFord 06-17-2015 07:45 AM

Looks awesome, really like the fact they are getting back to their roots !

KellieRahne 06-17-2015 09:15 AM

I downloaded the demo of The Crew for my PS4 and while it was sorta fun-ish I was annoyed by the car choices. But then again, if I want to waste some time driving for fun I leave the house and get in my real-life car. :D

billyk 06-17-2015 11:06 AM

I watched the OP's link, but then shared the original link w/o the annoying commentary with family members.

Video gaming graphics are getting so damn good.

Very cool choice of car - although the RB mods are not my cup-of-tea.
