Hmm can't say I'm a fan.
Like it!
I'd really like to see it on a WRB BRZ, yellow fogs would compliment it well, like a WRX.
Not really a fan.
I'm not really feeling the yellow on DGM... maybe on WRB it would look better but I'm hesitant to say that even. Glad you like it though! Your opinion is the only one that really matters.
I'll post a night shot once dusk hits. I have yellow fogs on my grey AE86 so I'm kind of continuing a tradition. :) Glad to hear everyone's opinions, I would be more terrified if it was a unanimous vote for liking it vs dislikes and likes. Diversity is a good thing.
As long as you like it! I've had yellow fogs on cars before; I wouldn't do it to this car for some reason... different strokes!

For my car, being SWP, I prefer the clear lenses on all the front lights. |
I like it alot what tint did you use? Mind doing a little writeup?
I like the yellow fogs! It's more of a love/hate thing really. It's your car anyways, but I think it looks great.
I dig! I bet it looks hella sick at dusk time. Would be even better to fit the fog lights w 3000k hids

There's a vendor on eBay selling fog lamp overlays, I decided to give it a try:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-13-Subaru...73848b&vxp=mtr (the same exact one I used in the pictures) Install was pretty easy, though I WOULDN'T ATTEMPT IT WITHOUT A HEAT GUN AND SOMETHING TO SQUEEGEE WITH. The film is more rigid than I expected so using my heat gun on the lowest setting helped make it a lot more pliable and easier to manipulate. Just simply wet your fingertips with glass cleaner, wet the lamp with glass cleaner, and peel the film off the paper. Wet the sticky side with glass cleaner. Apply carefully to the fog lamp and smooth it out as best as you can, then very carefully apply heat with a heat gun on and off (in circles) while using a squeegee and your hands to work out the air bubbles. Just take your time and don't apply too much heat all at once for too long. By the time I finished, you couldn't even tell that it was applied film. Looks like a legitimate yellow lamp. I'm pretty satisfied. |
Looks GREAT imo.
Looks good man, can't wait to get my car and try this.
mmmm can't say I am a fan either. Doesn't fly with the DGM =(
At first it looked like an FR-S..
i'm diggin it
not bad now i wanna see it on frs
Thanks for sharing! Not my cup of tea, but this gives a great point of reference.
I think it looks great on white or blue...maybe even black, but I don't really like it on DGM. Btw, I will be getting a DGM, so no hate haha
I've never understood the yellow fog light fascination, but whatever floats your boat. If you like it, that's all that matters.
Love the yellow fogs!!
Love it! Love it! Love it! |
to each their own,.. easy DIY... atleast you could always remove it in the future if you decide to change it up...
I've been thinking about doing this but I'm waiting for Rvinyl or Lamin-X to come out with tints.
Nice to see someone willing to take the initiative though. Now I wonder what a pair of selective yellow bulbs would do. |
Looks great
nice and yellow!
i was thinking about getting the brz in dgm and doing the yellow fogs as well [like i did with my previous cars], but as some others have mentioned: it doesn't look as good as i'd imagined on the dgm...
i've only owned white cars and it looks good on there [biased, i know], so i assumed it'd work for most... i am leaning a little more towards the swp, now... maybe they will offer aspen white for the MY14 ??? i wish... |
Are those stock hids headlights? Or did u change them to 6000k hids. The contrast b/w the fogs and hids look great!!!

More technical explanation here: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...ght_color.html What I'll never understand is people putting HID in fog enclosures. It's like stuffing a lion into a cat carrier, just because it might look neat. |
Stock BRZ headlights, yeah.
HID in a foglamp is overkill. It's bright enough as it is - end of story. |
....sig pic never gets any recognition...sigh
anyone ever think about making the DRL LED's yellow with film? wonder how it'd look

Maybe if I put my foot right up against it would I then consider it bright... It's barely noticeable in front when you turn it on and off; the stock fogs are there purely for aesthetic... IMO |
