Quad exhaust tips?

Any nice non-ricer looking exhaust tips? I've seen a few pictures around the forum of a few and the STI or at least the concept STI has them? They look really nice on the car and I was wondering if any aftermarket quad exhausts are available?:thanks:

dont think quad tips would not fit the stock bumper cut out

you can always go with the JDM TRD

Looking at it here it'd be a tall order to use the factory bumper, and it'd look very funky with the giant round cutout, but if anyone can get me a part number for that bumper I'll get one on order, swap it onto our FRS and get a system designed with our STi 3" staggered double wall tips or our in-house manufactured 3.5" staggered double wall tips if they'll fit.

Here are some photos of the 2011-2012 STi exhausts we make which are similar to our offering for the BRZ/FRS:

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7073/7...eda0c5b6_b.jpg

Then the staggered 3" double wall tips we use on most of the STi Sedan's:

And the staggered 3.5" double wall tips we make from scratch here:

This is a project we are extremely interested in. I called around to a few dealerships and got the deer in the headlights reaction regarding the JDM TRD bumper shown above. Any idea where we can get one? Like I mentioned above I can work with a part number but if anyone has a source for one of these I'll get one on order immediately. We do quad tips all day long!

Maybe Luis at Carson Toyota can help you guys out? He was able to get part numbers for things like the TRD exhaust and what not.

Done. He did help me. Sounds like I'll have an answer either today or tomorrow. Also sounds like the system comes in either the full bodykit or just bumper cutout replacements which require cutting of the factory bumper. That'll probably be the direction most people go who want a quad exit exhaust, I'd think.

Trd do a bumper surround part to fit their quad tip to the stock bumper. They also do a whole rear bumper part as part of the kit like in the above pic. Both require cutting the stock one.

I'm wondering if there are any vendors here making a quad tip exhaust. I've been thinking about getting the TRD rear bumper and I'm not really a fan of the JDM TRD exhaust :(

We can make you a custom one if you can bring us your car, or at least the bumper for fitment.

I hear the jungle polar bears are the most dangerous. Glad to see you've survived so far

Considering that Scions are only sold in the US and Canada I took a chance that it might not be a completely accurate description of his location ;)

That said, I currently have Cars in the shop that were shipped here from California, Florida, Tennessee, Washington, and Dubai as well Texas, so nothing is impossible.

boredom.is.me 01-29-2013 10:02 AM

Good observation there. I wonder what shipping from Dubai must cost.

Here's my 3" catback sti exhaust from top speed modified to fit.

It's a lot of work since the sti exhaust tips exit a lot lower than the brz.
I made my own diffuser shroud. I can upload pics when I'm by the pc.

I ran into an issue when it at the track. It needs a flex pipe in there since the metal gets heated up it shifts the driver side tips out a bit making the tips uneven. Other than that it sounds really throaty.

Quad tips look good on this car for some reason I'm kind of digging them lol reminds me of gtr

Bg8780 04-04-2014 06:06 PM

HKS makes one and the kit comes with replacement bumper shrouds. Pretty sure it's their Legamax sport. I'm looking at getting it with their boxer spec header. Still can't decide though. The JDL looks so good.

what about Blitz?

http://www.gt86ownersclub.co.uk/foru...CTI-Quad_2.jpg

Man I am digging those quad tips !

BRZPDX 04-05-2014 07:12 PM

Is it possible to just fab a quad tip on any existing cat back setups?

Yeah that's easiest way. Any exhaust shop can do it. You just buy the tips on eBay

They are 265 on 19x9.5 rear.. I'm about to go 305 rear when I get my new wheels in and go wide body :)

Thanks. I didn't like any of the aftermarket stuff and wanted something to flow nicely. I made it out of a piece of plastic (a gutter plastic piece from home depot, lol) and some filler for the imperfections. I didn't really measure it so I just kind of eyeballed it. It's not 100 percent perfect but good enough nobody can tell I made it unless I told them. lol
