Nice!

Congrats! Looks awesome, you're one of the first on Canadian soil!

Could you confirm one thing for us though? Are you noticing any other differences from the USDM version from your car?

I saw a little black mic that sticks out like a sore thumb just arbitrarily attached near the right edge of the driver side sun visor on the roof. It should be flush with the roof where the map lights are and I thought that was strange.

Also my car (though it hasn't gone through PDI) did not have a USB port and 3.5 mm jack to the right of the push button start. I'm hoping thats something they have to hook up still but its currently just a black rectangle cap there.

Thanks, but I am not the first one in Canada. First one is 'Enemies' from BC. He took delivery yesterday.
Anyway,
1. the black mic beside the rearview mirror seems like mic for Bluetooth Handsfree
2. Canadian model the USB & Aux is inside the glove box, which is better because you can hide the ipod

Congrats :) Enjoy! One thing I have to say is, that your street, reminds me of a scene from one of the Fast and the Furious movies (i.e all the houses look the same).

Motopythons 06-16-2012 07:53 PM

what the hell... what kind of shark-fin antenna is that? I didn't know they made one specific to BRZ already.

Congrats

Motopythons 06-16-2012 07:54 PM

Yes, they made it already and it is ship from Japan, but not sure if it made in Japan thou. However the quality is pretty good.

The pioneer deck is pretty good although the speakers all sucks, don't even try to turn up the bass, it will sound super bad.
But the LED buttons for the deck can change color, it has 8 colors to choose from. Blue, Red, Green, etc...

Motopythons 06-16-2012 08:15 PM

hm, that kinda sucks that they put the audio ports in the glove box. Now I have to open it each time I enter and leave the car.

thanks for the pics.

thanks for the pics.

I found that it is better because I can just leave the ipod in the glove box (I don't normally use my iphone as MP3 player) :happyanim:

Don't see any different than original antenna.
Anyway I only try FM radio (I usually just listen to MP3):D

Couple things that I found out for the pioneer deck:

1. It DOES NOT display Chinese as song name, etc... I think only Mercedes deck can display both Traditional & Simplify Chinese characters
2. when the car is moving, you cannot input destination. The problem is this GPS has no voice input. I have to stop the car before I can input
3. The deck kind of support 'back up camera' function because it has that option in the setting. But where can we get the camera? I have no idea
4. For the bluetooth phone option, it CANNOT display the keypad option while you are on the call. Which means you need to use your phone for keypad input

This is really disappointing. As well as that microphone for the Canadian models.. I saw a youtube video of the American model and the microphone is located in a much better spot in a more appealing way...

Also the navigation deck is different

Here's the video: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lzXgGo9wNU&feature=BFa&list=HL1339898734"]2013 Subaru BRZ Limited In Depth Tour, Engine Sound, Exterior and Interior - YouTube[/ame]

Microphone bit @25 minutes

I actually got really lucky and took delivery on Thursday.

My awesome dealer (Anthony at Anthony's Suzuki Subaru) in Kelowna, BC really went the extra mile for me. He e-mailed me early in the morning to tell me the car was there and asked me when I wanted it. I told him as soon as possible. I think he was originally thinking Friday or Saturday but I had to work on the other side of the bridge both days so they rushed PDI (might've helped that the mechanic doing the PDI has a CBS on order himself!) and got it ready by mid-afternoon.

Everybody worked extra hard to get me in the car on Thursday so I have to thank all the staff there. While I was at work they got all the financing in order as well so even though I was running late they all stayed to make sure I got to drive it away that night.

Then right before I drove it away he asked to take a picture because he said the VP at Subaru Canada asked him to take one. Not sure if it will pop up anywhere. With any luck it won't. :P

And last but not least... Congrats Percy!
