Calgary FRS/BRZ meeting?
 

Since a few of us have took delivery of our FRS/BRZ and more delivery everyday, will you guys interest to meet up some time in July or so to share some thoughts of our new cars?

I would be interested if I have my car by that time (hope I do).

I'll be there with bells on!

On second thought I'll probably just show up in my car...there is almost no chance I'll have bells on.

You ordered FR-S, right? I think you might get your car by then.
FR-S is easier to get than BRZ. As what I heard FR-S vs BRZ production ratio is 5:1
Not sure if it is right or not, just a Subaru dealership told me that

Mine SHOULD be here for Mon or Tues - it's apparently in Edmonton waiting to be trucked.

Ill be there If I get my FRS by that time! Most people in Calgary are getting deliveries Late July/Early August

Yeah, I am getting the same story, though it is coming from a "higher up" at Scion. So far he's been really good at getting the truth to me, so I'll give him that.

Mines also in edmonton, my paper work shows delievery date of June 21st....... tic toc toc

road trip to BC?

Actually I am heading for Windemere during Stampede (cause who wants to be here that week?) so...yes?

Im not sure about a BC trip just yet, However A drive out in the back roads on Banff National park would be Sweet!!!! was just out a few weeks ago with my buddys and we found some good windy roads :D

did you guys get rubber floor mats when you guys picked your car?

my break in period will be short, cause driving 100km everyday.

I didn't get any rubber mats. I'd like the non-slip rubber mat for the trunk so stuff stays put, but it doesn't seem available here (or better yet, a cargo net, but they don't make one that I know of... I really wish they did).

If the rubber mats are like the Subaru ones for my previous WRX, they don't cover shit; aftermarket would be better.

I didn't get any rubber mat when I picked up mine last week. Even the block heater is in back order but I took delivery anyway.
I think weather tech should be best mat but they haven't make for BRZ yet. So I guess I will wait for a bit. Anyway it is still summer in Calgary.

That's strange, my dealer had a block heater for mine (and installed it).

I should check with my dealership. I still in Vegas but got a call yesterday from my dealership, not sure if they call me to book the appointment.

Car was supposed to arrive today (4th date pushed back) and their GM called to say they are so sorry but still in Edmonton waiting for a truck. No ETA, just "Soon as possible". :bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk:

They should just let you drive it down from there, it'd be much faster.

A roadtrip may not work for me, but if something in calgary I'm game.

The FR-S rubber mats that came with the car are a bit flimsy, dunno how they'd stack against real winter. I imagine they are essentially rain/mud mats more than anything.

The thought flashed in my mind to have indoor shoes for a while...... lol

Picked her (car name TBD) today. So I am game for a Calgary meetup.

That's awesome the you guys got your cars! I saw a white FR-S parked on 17th last night when I drove by in my BRZ, looked great.

Saw a white FR-S parked on the street in Tuscany NW. Looking pretty sharp!

And there is another white FR-S park in Royal Oak near the Red Haus Condo.

We need some good weather in calgary!!!!! Any of you calgary guys on beyond? Maybe we should hit up the beyond meet!

I just re-registered with Beyond and waiting for the activation before I can post there.

10-10:45am: Meeting Crestmont Community Center parking lot. 12400 Crestmont Boulevard SW

10:45-11am: Roll out

12-12:30pm:

1. After the park pass pay booth, park on the right hand shoulder of the highway. Drive as far as you can so we don't have cars on edge.

2. After we gather everyone, drive to Cascade Ponds. (Exit highway, TURN RIGHT on to Lake Minnewanka Scenic Drive, and TURN RIGHT AGAIN, drive down the road and you'll see the wide open parking lot.

12:30-1:00pm: Lunch at Earl's or elsewhere. Those playing CCR will sit together.
