Mm from what I recall it loses about 30km of range on the highway. In the city there is no difference.

110 usd, which is 135 cad, plus shipping, plus import duties. Could be closer to 170-200 when its all said and done. Plus that 120 includes shipping to you. Pretty good deal in my eyes. If it was alcantara, I'd have bought it already.
