Do you guys think gold/bronze rims look bad on red?
I'm always wanting gold cause of the subaru, but at the same time the OEM rims seem to suit the car better...hmmm http://s7.postimg.org/a8cxogxnv/DSC_0416.jpg http://s7.postimg.org/3tdwrsqy3/DSC_0486.jpg image hosting |
gold looks a bit off here (looks great on rally blue)...but its personal preference.
|
Not a huge fan of the gold, white might pop more. But if you like it man, that's all that matters :)
|
Yeah i agree with you guys...gold is too much......man I'm still debating on exhaust or tune...haha
Also debating 2 exhaust...Fujitsubo Authorize R $1400.00Usd or Greddy Supreme SP $795.00Usd..... Is the fujitsubo worth the extra cash? |
Nice updated sig pic ;)

Sick meat tonight. Lots of stock cars surprisingly

Get which ever YOU want man. I have the Q300 paired with a catless front pipe and have no complaints.

Awww. This thread is named after me. Interesting.

Yet not back in your old thread instead lol
|
Haha. I know! I got flamed for making it... Even by you @JERM^

I think the gold rims look a bit cheesy on red...especially if they're that small LOL (is that a photoshop?)
Gold looks good on WRB, and sometimes on silver (depending on style of rim). I say go white on the red car. That will pop like crazy and would look awesome. I'm debating my options for my summer set up right now...tough choices. |
Does anyone else's A/C compressor chirp when it kicks over?
If I have my A/C or defrost on, you can feel when the compressor kicks over, which is normal in most cars, but what isn't normal is the sound. It chirps really loudly when it kicks over, sounding somewhat like the dreaded "crickets", except that it's just a quick "CHIRP" and then goes away until the next time it cycles over. You can hear the chirp in the car while driving when the compressor kicks over, and it's even more noticeable when stopped. Anyone else experiencing this? I doubt it's normal, and I only have 28k on my car. |

ThreezZz is going to kill me for this...
But I thought it would be a good opportunity to show off my recent trunk-swap, completed this past sunday with user Taro. Many thanks to Sam for making the drive and completing the swap with me! It was frustrating at times, but fun. That being said, if anyone local is looking to do a trunk swap in the future and needs guidance, I could probably do it with my eyes closed now, so feel free to reach out! I'm always happy to help. Took about 2.5 hours but some of that was down-time to remove badges, and lots of trouble-shooting and trial and error, as we couldn't find a thorough DIY or video guide for this process and had to play a lot of it by ear. Anyways, I have a BRZ Sport-Tech and, as such, had the OEM Sport-Tech spoiler, which I was never a big fan of (it should be an option in my opinion). To each their own and all that, but I never thought it suited the car and just thought it was a bit...much. Sam had an Argento FR-S with a Monogram spoiler. Originally I had planned to swap for a spoiler-less trunk, but I actually like the look of this spoiler, and it's growing on me more and more every day. In the process, I also de-badged the trunk, and I think combined with the new spoiler, it made for a much cleaner, sleeker look. I'll let the pics do the talking: Before: http://i.imgur.com/Wpjclb8.jpg After: http://i.imgur.com/TSOGyHJ.jpg |

Yeah i agree, gold looks off, wife says the same. Probably will stay stock until i find something i really love cause it's a tough choice for these cars...so many rims but tough to find something that makes the car still look good in my taste. |
That looks really clean and subtle with the trunk swapped.

Try white emotion d9r. I think it has a 18x8.5 version. Looked so good...

On red, my personal preference is either bright silver or gunmetal. |
Btw, just read this article about plate covers
http://www.cbc.ca/m/news/canada/toro...vers-1.3064957 I don't know why they can't just regulate the use of these covers. As long as you can see the digits, what's the problem? I've gone through 407 with no issues. Also, I ran dealer covers for 1 year and darker covers the last 1.5 yrs. Poor guy got dinged 3 times. |
@Mr.Impreza why do you care what other people think looks good? It's your car and your money. Do what you prefer. Countless people have told me that my green wheels don't work well with halo. Look at all the fucks I give. Beats having black wheels like 98.696969% of other twin owners.

Edit: also the beauty of living in a democratic society Is that you can get into the government and change these laws if you so wish. And in my honest opinion, if you're unwilling to do that, against these "bullshit" or "stupid" laws and rules, you have no right to complain. |

Oh and I actually like the green rims on Berg's car! Biggest issue I find with rim/tire/stance haters is people judge them based upon pictures that show them at weird angles that you normally don't see unless you are squatting or laying on the ground. Most don't actually look the same when seen in reality at a normal viewing height. |
I don't know that I've ever seen a picture of his car with said green rims...
Hint hint ;) |

Not a fan of those wheels in that gold on red, but I do like this one:

XXR 527? Loving the plate too LOL. Your pics are also making me consider a 60R exhaust...damn that looks beautiful from the back. |

The plate was my consolation prize, since 86868686 wasn't available. 60R is boss if you're only doing a catback. I'd get dirty looks from the neighbours, and too much attention from the police with the cat less header plus the 60R, but my god, was it ever a beautiful sound. |

Man so weird...nobody in Canada is willing to order in a Fujitsubo exhaust...maybe i will just save the $700.00 premium and buy the Greddy supreme SP or Invidia Q300

I'm not too worried about noise, as I'm just running a track pipe right now. It's pretty loud, especially on cold-start, but I haven't gotten any negative press for it yet. Although I'm sure my entire neighbourhood hates me when I have to start my car at 7:30am on Saturday mornings to go to work... :paddle: Worth it though. I love the way it sounds. |

If you want a 60R I'd definitely recommend it, but buy used if you can. Or, look into the 60S, which is muffled. Not really sure if the 1000 dollar price tag is worth it, but it is a BEAUTIFUL piece, as you saw in the pictures. |
