Scion FRS | Black and Gunmetal Beauty

New to the forum! I just wanted to share some photos I shot of this brand new FRS on Niche NR6 wheels. This was one of my most anticipated shoots to date. I have to say that all the hype was for something. The Scion FRS is one of the best cars I've driven. The handling is superb and so precise. If I was to sell my type R, this would be the next car on my list.

i have to say, in real life to get the black to look that deep, detail and opti coat is almost a must, i don't remember the black look *that* good in person. i assume there are some post processing involved.

Guff 06-14-2012 11:01 PM

I noticed that your headlights don't seem stock(They look blue instead of yellowish). I'm kind of a noob in that area. What did you change?

OrbitalEllipses 06-15-2012 10:28 AM

Wow that's some great photography!

Double4Free 06-15-2012 10:33 AM

I personally dislike chrome on anything, but God that car looks beautiful.

Chrome only works well with certain colors, such as black.

:happy0180:

Amazing shots.

niceassfd 06-15-2012 11:30 AM

What size and off set's did you go with?

MVJ1975 06-15-2012 11:38 AM

Some, but not a lot. The car was brand new, so it was completely clean with no signs of swirls or scratches to dull the paint.

Those are 18's. I don't know the exact price, it would be better to contact the company that I did the shoot for. www.srautogroup.com

That was a result of a Alumina HID conversion kit.

Agreed

stalon320 06-15-2012 01:06 PM

I found the Rims.. not bad at all.. for 17x7.5 its like $120 per rim.. at least that what I was able to find doing a quick search. I thought they would cost more.. but hey.. i'm not complaining..lol. Makes the car look more upscale.. which is the overall look I will be going for.. inside and out..

GinDo 06-15-2012 02:42 PM

I was stuck between Black, Red, and White.

I decided on white. But, after seeing these pictures, I don't know anymore.

:mad0259:

I'm guessing the HIDs are 8000k?

Koji_Online 06-15-2012 02:50 PM

You can put all Toyota stock photos down with skills like that; beautiful shots! You definitely have the 'eye' for positioning & location; also, whatever post-processing you used doesn't come off as too much; subtle & very effective is the description I would use!
If only you were close enough to my location to do a shoot like this for my car; I'm sure you could make Firestorm look deeper than the red off of a 458 Italia =D

Thanks! I'd love to shoot a red FRS, I think it would just pop and be so vibrant.

sorry i forgot to ask about the suspension. got too excited while driving the car.

I like the wheels. Very clean, nothing too extreme. Scion should of used those as factory wheels.

Mr.Jay 06-15-2012 09:04 PM

Not a fan of SR Group but love the shots you got. Your pics are wayy better than Toyotas official ones haha

If you want to shoot a Ultramarine let me know XD

btw thanks for the link to the wheels there they remind me of Weds SA60M which I want but at a much more affordable price

Yup, I'm glad I saw this too since I love the design. They are, in fact, replicas of the WedsSports. Unfortunately Weds only makes them in 17x7.5 +48 for 5x100. Konig makes replicas of them too, called the Deception. Those go up to 18x8 +40 I believe.

Mr.Jay 06-15-2012 10:58 PM

Weds does make theses wheels now in 18x8 and 5x100 now. Vivid racing had them on sale.

rikdrt1 06-15-2012 11:15 PM

are those 17" tires/rims .. ? they arent the stock tires - are they ?

Good to know. I didn't see them on the official website so I figured they weren't available.
