How would you build your 86?
I wish there was an option to purchase an 86 exactly how I want it. There are accessories and features of the brz that I like and don't like. Same goes for the frs. If I had a choice this is how I would build my car...
Exterior -asphalt gray -frs body style (front end and piston emblems) -fog lights -brz headlights -brz spoiler -shark fin antenna I know this could all technically be done to my frs now, and I will probably eventually do it all but it would have been nice to have from the start. It's just hard to pay so much for those headlights when I've already got a pair that work fine :/. Interior -leather seats -NO push to start -brz climate control (I hate how the side mirrors fog up on my frs) -NO navigation (or at least not such a crappy system) It would be awesome if I could build an 86 just like this to purchase from Toyota. How would you build you car? You can only use parts that come stock on the twins. |
Exterior:
-Firestorm -Toyota badging -GT86 Headlights -TRD wheels Interior -TRD bucket seats -TRD steering wheel -Climate control -Navigation - Heated seats Performance -TRD Intake -TRD Brake kit -TRD strut brace |
If I could, this is how i'd build it...
Exterior - Yellow - BRZ headlights - BRZ fender garnish - Sharkfin antenna - TRD body kit - GT86 giant spoiler Interior - Leather seats - Automatic climate control - No navigation - Thicker steering wheel (TRD style) - No rear seats Guess that's how i'd do it |
Exterior
-White -Shark fin antenna -5axis body -fog lights -Buddy club tail lights Interior -Red Racing seats (leather) -Green seat belts -Electronic gauge including tach Performance -1LR-GUE engine (LFA v10) -Brembo brakes kit -Trans oil cooler -Adjustable suspension and traction control from cockpit (comfort, sport, rain/snow) |
Toyota GT86 CS-R3. That is all :)
|
If I could have had the Monogram extras in Lava and the TRD add ons I already have it would have been beyond perfect.
Although not a big deal at all I really do miss the keyless entry and start sometimes. Still almost perfect just the way it is. |
i would want mine white frs no fog lights no grill no spoiler
inside i would want back seat delete and carpet delete i would rhino liner it also crank windows instead of electric also power steering delete following abs delete and thats it also no sterio i would but custom one in |
Leather seats, DRL lights, fog lights, oem diffuser, TRD short shifter, TRD body kit (JDM).
|
Steering wheel with four wheels and I'm good
|
no engine or trans?
|
My exterior and interior will be OEM. I may tint the windows and possibly have a Scion to Toyota badge conversion option.
I also wish there was a Toyota Supercharger option |

I actually like having a project car that I can make my own. Basically, I would keep everything the same, except...
- I would add audio controls on the steering wheel (volume and track/station advance). Is that to much to ask. |

Forget stock, needless foo. In dreamworld, this checks all the boxes and is street legal:

The only regular FR-S option I would want for my BRZ is the sliding arm rest. So I bought one and installed it.
I wish both cars had a black-reflector tail light option, because those chrome tails just look too ricey. But I fixed that with Tom's tails. The single biggest deficiency in both cars, in my opinion, is the absence of a real oil pressure gauge. Otherwise, I really wouldn't need a-la-carte options, because the FR-S really didn't have anything I wanted that isn't already on my BRZ. |
-3SGTE mid-engine swap
-Full TRD Nur Spec Kit (no wing) -Tommy Kaira Wing -Buddy Club D1 Spec Coilovers -Buddy Club P1 LCA - All around -Advan TCII I'd be willing to pay for this. Done deal. |

I always liked this color scheme... a little toned down would be nice.

I'd buy my BRZ again, then immediately trade it in for this.
http://www.topgear.com/uk/imageresiz...615&Height=347 Done. More (or less) realistically: BRZ (my car currently): Galaxy Blue Silica Limited trim Automatic Driveway Labs V2 rear diffuser Changes: 6cyl Boxer Turbocharged Interior trim of the BRZ Series.Blue Edition. It's all blue stitching and blue leather. Duck tail spoiler. EVERYTHING from Cusco, the braces, coilovers, control arms, oil cooler, etc. Going with the blue theme still. That's about it. RyanG |

For me, the problem is most of the controls are accessible via touch screen (skip tracks, change stations) and the screens touch controls don't work so well or consistently. Not a good thing when you're driving. |
