Got My FR-S Tonight!
 

Hey guys - been browsing the forums for several weeks, but tonight I officially got my new FR-S. I traded in my 2003 Camry SE and before that I had a 1992 Celica GT.

It's a Raven-AT - as far as options I got the front paint protection and rear bumper appliqué.

Sorry for the bad pic (my dad isn't the best at working the iPhone camera), haha - but ill add some pics tomorrow when I can get some actual sunlight.

Anyways - it feels great to be part of the league of extraordinary gentlemen. I absolutely love this car and it's such a blast to drive.

As far as mods, I plan to get 15% tint all around (which is highly illegal in PA), but I really like that blacked out look.

Welcome to the club. Eastern PA here... We did 20% tint... And it's plenty blacked out... Though everyone keeps asking me if it's legal...so it worries me. Raven MT here.. which I LOVE...

Hope you find yourself getting as much random attention as we do... People taking pics of the car when we walk into the gas station... others slowing down or stopping to check it out as they drive by...

5% tint is ridiculous. I had a GMC Sierra with 5% once, makes me feel really old now because there's no way I'd do that now. I couldn't see out the side windows hardly at all at night and usually had to roll them down to drive. No possible way anyone could see in no matter how close they got.

Hurrying to roll down all the windows every time I saw a cop, what a hassle.

Rethink the 5% it's just not worth it. You'll be ticketed before the year is over. Go 35% all around. You will be happy.

Oh BTW, i just did mine with 15% on the back and 40% on the sides..

and even like that, its dark pretty good - people would bet its 15% all the way around it looks hot that way too..


i think 5% is going to be so dark, you will certainly get pulled over...

Dear god, 5%?! That's rediculous. If you want dark, I think 20% all around is perfect, that's what I have on all of my cars. 5% is Limo tint.. but if you want it that dark, just get some black spray paint, a lot cheaper and looks the same lol

Don't get it that dark, you'll change lanes one day and take out a motorcycle or something

As long as you're going dark, get the head lights and signals tinted as well, for that total "impound me" look.
