Would you rather
Would you rather have 50 more horsepower, or a car without crickets? Obviously if your car doesn't chirp yet this isn't for you.

If there wasn't crickets, all you'd hear is an unbalanced sewing machine when it idles. Least the crickets take your ears off that :bellyroll: |
I'm not bothered by crickets or other minor noises
|

Honestly, how is that even a thread...

Guys.
Keep it on topic here. This is an intellectual discussion about which we would rather have. This is a very serious hypothetical. If you can't keep it on topic then don't post. As for myself: Who is doing the work? Is it NA or FI horsepower? Is it at the flywheel or the rear wheels? Is it still under warranty? Does it help with the torque dip? Or is it all top end? When will this extra power be added? And: No car comes with small insects inside it. If it did, then they would all burn up once the engine got up to temperature. *sigh* |

37k miles, what crickets?
Simple solution to funny noises, keep right foot planted on floor. :burnrubber: Edit: I'll add more horsepower when I figure out how to maximize the 200 it came with, still a long way to go and I've already passed plenty V8's and flat-sixes and I6's and turbo I4's on track and through the cones. If you can't go fast with 90 horsepower, 900 ain't gonna help you. |
I'll take 100hp and twice as many crickets.
|
How about 200HP and my motor only sounds like crickets.....

How about 50ft/lbs or torque? I'd prefer some torque.
|
Better would you rather questions:
Would you rather... ...have 50 more crank horse power, naturally aspirated and doesn't effect reliability/warranty/mpg OR have 3 month all expense paid lease of McLaren P1? ...have 75 more crank hp, still a torque dip, red line at 11,000rpm, no effect on reliability/warranty/mpg BUT you have to watch a 5 minute porn staring your parents? ...have 50 more turbo charged whp, all ups and downs of quality aftermarket turbo kit AND you can only ever use stock tires OR get 25 crank hp BUT you can never use traction/stability control? ... have 100 more wheel horse power, naturally aspirated and doesn't effect reliability/warranty/mpg OR you get the 100% factual plan for next gen FRS and BRZ for next 5 years? |
I have embraced my crickets.
I am at peace. |
