1J/2J Wiring Harness with Dual ECU

Well:
After asking some questions to Chasebays thru their page, they replied that Chasebays will no longer be building the Wiring Harness for our platform with the Dual ECU chasis Sub-harness setup to maintain the A/C, Power Steering. and Tach

Does anyone has Information of wiring diagrams, sources or anything that may help in making this wiring?

Thanks:thanks:

Do it once, do it right. Motec M150.

You can get power steering and tach working via canbus signals, don't know why you would need fancy wiring harness for that. Not sure about A/C, I personally wouldn't bother using AC in an engine swapped vehicle but it can be done obviously.

Well the goal is to maintain as much features of the car as possible. Street Legal. A/C is a comfort i want to keep since where im from temperatures rarely go below 80 dg.

The "fancy" harness should make it easier for the swap. But anyways....
Any help will be apreciated

Wiring diagrams are a good start, but a lot of things are controlled by CANBUS.
Personally I'm just focusing on getting the gauge cluster to work properly and have power steering.

From my experience in doing one of these swaps build the harness. Makes life so much easier.

Tweak'd Performance can build you a brand new wiring harness to suit your needs. The MR2 community where I came from rely on them for the Gen4 3S-GTE upgrades as well as other engine swaps.

Most people do not have the cash for Motec goodies lol

I highly doubt money is a factor for someone dropping in a 1/2J/LS/etc in this car. If it is, they shouldn't be attempting the swap in the first place.

Excuse my ignorance, but what would be the advantage of having the Motec instead of an AEM in terms of instalation and keeping the factory features?

I would still need to make the wiring harness right?

Would love to help but i'm not very familiar with Motec. I'd ask @Manji since he mentioned it, or you could always ask @DeliciousTuning or @Carolina Dyno (just two off the top of my head that I know recommend it).

the motec can communicate with the can communication system. There is firmware for it to integrate into the chassis communication system.

This is to PnP into the stock ecu connectors and wouldn't be of any use on an engine swap car.

Honestly that list could go on for days but the main one is CAN communication to keep your ABS, all factory buttons, dash functions, BCM functions, Key/Start button operation, etc. You can control literally anything with the M1; active aero, auto rev match on downshift, rolling antilag, just to name a few.

You're going to need a harness regardless of which ecu you choose but with the MoTeC you won't need to incorporate the stock ecu. Personally AEM would be way down the list of ecu choices for me. The only advantage to AEM is finding more tuners familiar with it.

im running the chasebays harness on my 2jz brz, had alot of problems in the beginning, altered some wires to make most things work..

Im running racepak instead of the stock cluster, didnt have time to bother to make the oem work, push button works, PS works with some tweaking, ill do the ac when it starts to get hot in here, but ac works buttons work right now

A 2jz swap is and want to be in the future plans but I want to keep all my options and fuctions as if I brought the car with the motor, like traction control etc..
