Spot on fitment and cool wheel design. Nice job.

Rookie84 03-31-2015 05:59 AM

That looks awesome. The design of the wheels really go well with the car. :)

Haha, thanks. I always hate when people post pics from 100ft away and you can't see anything and/or when they don't post the specs.

I think they will. The guy who posted above you appears to be on stock suspension. I didn't have to do any adjustments but I'm on coils.

Looks good!

Yes, the blue car posted is completely stock suspension. No adjustments needed, just bolted wheels on. Tires are 245/40/17 rs3

To echo what Mike said; we recommend either 245/40/17, or 235/40-17s as a direct fitment on a 100% stock car.

Now, depending on model of tire, sometimes you can squeeze 255s on stock... But the easiest fix is just some camber adjustable bolts and you can now clear 255s (plus much more enhance grip and feedback as stock alignment on the FRS & BRZ is very under optimize, even stock suspension).
We selected an offset that allows for a huge range of tires with really flexible fitment.

Here you can see 255s squared. There is 2.7 degrees of camber in the front, and 1.7 in the rear since this car goes to the track regularly as well as regular street driving.
[The rear tire has tire dressing applied, the front does not.]

Really love these wheels but I'm running RCE yellows on stock struts, plan on getting some camber bolts on the front, and concerned about spring rub after the neg ~1.5. Thoughts? If plates are required, what product would anyone recommend which maintains the factory NVH?

Thanks in advance.

wow these are beautiful wheels. my wheels are really new but have been looking for something either super light, just found out my stock wheels are really light to begin with but I can gain +2 width with these. Also main motivation to switch would be aesthetics. these are some of the nicest i've seen that fit stock suspension. I have TRD springs will I be OK or will it rub with the camber needed for flush? what's the poke situation without camber?

Are you running aftermarket lower control arms? If so, which ones? Also, what were your alignment specs in these photos?

I have rear LCAs and in those photos IIRC, it was zero'd out. 0 toe/cast/camber. It's been a bit so take my specs with a grain of salt.

Anyone get these put on yet from the most recent GroupBuy? I received mine on Tuesday, but don't get them put on until Saturday :(

I hate waiting! (Which is hilarious since I've been waiting since February :D)

Also, what tire sizes are people getting? I originally bought 255/40/17 but after reading a lot of users saying that there would be fitment issues on stock suspension I returned them and bought 245/40/17 instead, which should be more of a direct fit. I'm so excited to get these on!

You'll get more out of 245's anyway haha, less mass and less loss of torque from gearing... plus less rolling resistance. Yeah 245's are even pretty close on stock suspension.

That's what I was hoping. I'm really somewhat nervous about the 245's rubbing, but I'm going to take APEX's word for it that they are a direct fit. I know all tires are different (I got Hankook Ventus V12's) but I'm REALLY hoping that I don't run into any issues.

Devvz 06-17-2017 01:58 PM

Just got mine installed, Anthracite on Hankook Ventus V12 245/40/17's. Fitment looks great, although the rear camber needs to be adjusted slightly. I love these wheels so much, I was worried how the Anthracite color would look on a black BRZ, but I think it looks great.

Jidonsu 06-18-2017 07:32 PM

I got mine as well, though I picked up another member's groupbuy order since I missed the initial offer. Three wheels have 245 40 17 RS3 V2s mounted on them right out. One of them came with a paint blemish, so it's still in the box, but Apex has been a bit slow in communicating on a possible exchange. They don't even pick up the phone, which really sucks since track season is like right now. In addition, one of the wheels has a slight wobble as well on the balancer, which I can probably zero out a bit more. We'll see how it does in the rear at speed.

Edit: Apex agreed to replace the blemished wheel. Yay!

Mind if I ask what your suspension setup is? It looks stock but I honestly can't tell anymore. I've looked at so many suspension setups and all the angles make the car look like they're on different ride heights.

Do you have any pics of your car with the wheels on RCE yellows? I just put some on and I'm between these and RPF1s.

Any more photos/updates of these wheels? In particular silver color? Still interested in making a purchase!

86Craze 07-22-2017 02:36 PM

Fantastic looking wheel! I love the silver wheel on a white car. I didnt have my car back when the groupbuy took place, I certainly would have jumped on it.
What was the group buy price?
Right now I am considering the RPF1 for roughly the same price as these wheels. RPF1 is ~2 lbs lighter but these wheels sure look awesome!

jmark 08-03-2017 07:21 AM

I asked Apex if these rims fit the 2017 BRZ with Performance Package Brembos. They replied they fit no problem!

I believe at that time i was on swift spec r springs and 3mm spacers and camber bolts.

Sorry for the crappy pictures. Better ones to come once I can detail the car and the weather clears up. I am loving the whiteline camberbolts, Apex ARC-8, and RCE yellows combo. Perfect setup for the daily imo.
