Naming your car(s)?

Named my FR-S Charlotte, for now. My engine is Shelly.




My pickup is Pigeon (white too!), my old Corolla/Celica(s) were:

-Stan, the man
-Sky
-Chad
-Tina
-Kat

Not weird at all. Or, well... maybe we're both just weird.

My white FRS is Winona, my wingless angel.

And my old '96 Mazda Millenia was Cleo, short for Cleopatra since that's who she looked like to me.

I think it's nice to name your car, it solidifies a bond that may not exactly make sense, but then... love never does. : )

My Toyota has a name

call my FRS....my babe

I don't cuz it's part of me when I deliver my tofu.

All the cars I have owned were named "Mycar".
Except my last Lancer which was commonly called "Comeonyousonofabitch" which I believe is Russian or something.

I've never named a single car of mine and I get crap for it often. Closest I've gotten with that is my plate that says "Byg Zam"

I can't think of a name for my FRS but I had a 240sx with a SR20DET swap that was built for the race track and a 240sx Convertible that was a slammed cruiser at the same time. I named the SR powered one 13, and the vert Allison, after the doctors in House.

I named my car Sonic as in Sonic the hedgehog because its blue and "fast"

My wife named her Sylvia, I liked it so it stuck.

She is always refered to by name at this point, even with strangers and they think im talking about my wife at first.

Idk why but I have a hard time naming things. I think this stems back to playing pokemon red and blue as a kid. I could never rename the pokemon because I like the name that they were given.. Although I dont like the name FR-S so I choose to stick with either 86 or GT86 or if I am feeling extremely japanese ill say hachiroku but people give me weird looks when I say that so I dont do it very often.. lol :D

Previous car was Scarlet, because it was red and it had scars from bad decision making.
Current car is called Belle, because it's blue and I like the flowers bluebells. (Also, because Bluebell Ice Cream in Houston).

Nothing, because it's super lame. Akin to when I was on my basic courses with the military and the people I did the courses with would name their rifles.

Named mine the same as my car! Mysmg (and frequently resorted to it's nick name of Comeonyousonofabitch).

Her name is Tracy, and here is why..

She is named after James Bond's only wife, Tracy Bond, who was ordered to be murdered by none other than Ernst Stavro Blofeld in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Now I have always been a huge James Bond fan my whole life.. and even serendipidiously proposed to my fiance on a cruise ship while Goldfinger was playing in the background on the top of the ship. It so happens that out GT86 was inspired and designed after the Toyota 2000GT. The 2000GT was Bond's vehicle in You Only Live Twice. So there. My 86 is named after the only wife Bond ever had, as well being a tribute to her true roots as a classic Bond car...

My Mustang is named Rachel and the FR-S is Candy, mostly because the paint looks like an orange skittle.

And she has the same curves as that stripper you met at showgir.... Oh wait wrong thread.. :D
