Anyone else here play FFXIV on the PS4? I just started my subscription the other day coming from the trial. It's my first true mmorpg and I really like it; obviously since I subscribed. Lol. But anyways my brother and I play frequently but looking for a few more to run a raid or some fate grinding.

Feel free to get in touch with one another here. I'm not sure if all mmo's are set up the way this one is in terms of "world's and servers" but it seems a bit complicated to get together. Have to be on the same server and world to play.

So again it's my brother and I. The main character for me is a healer and the main for my brother is a dps

I'm pretty sure you can. Not sure how much we'd be able to do since my unlocks are now beyond the trials "cap" but I'd be willing to try. I got to remember to check my server.! I'll make a note now to check in the morning.

Amazing game! I stopped playing last year though because it started turning into a job and well I'd rather go do other stuff. Didn't get a chance to try out ninja though! I had a 50 WAR/PLD/DRG and all DoH/DoL maxed out. There was so much to do and the gameplay was really fun! I was in an excellent Free Company as well and I definitely miss it but like all mmorpg's, you need to dedicate a ton of time into it. But enjoy and good luck to you!

@givemeporknow yeah that is for sure. Very time consuming but it's better then watching mindless TV well that's my excuse anyway lol.

I just started playing FFXIV, every FF game is like a new experience for me, if I may say so myself. The last FF game I've played was FFX and FFX2, no ones probably going to top FFX in my opinion.

Really? I do like X but my favorite is VIII. Obviously as you can see with my characters name lol.

Starting a "company" up need two more signatures. Anyone interested? It's "balamb garden seeds" or "SeeD" have I mentioned I like ff8? Lol.

ARR was great. I just removed my subscription after being subbed since day 1. Like someone else said, it became a full time job, but for some people that's exactly what they're looking for.

I do miss it from time to time. It's like a drug.

Oh man, that must have been rough lol. And just before heavens ward... Well good for you. When it's my time to resign hopefully it'll be with finesse lol

It was really difficult with the expansion coming out... I'm still in some XIV Facebook groups, and some of them were at the festival and posting updates ughhh

I'm oddly surprised to see a thread about any Final Fantasy game on here. My girlfriend and her brother are huge into the FF series. I've only played the first one on the NES (which I still have in working condition and hooked up) but I never had the patience to play through. I've watched her play 5, 8, 13, 13-2 and now 14. Awesome games, just not for me.

I got about half way through Mystic Quest, and it's just a shitty game.

Oh my. Yeah luckily I have lots of patience... Even more so now with this game. I thought my 100 hour fallout, skyrim, dragon age, and 90s final Fantasy sessions were allot but it's really nothing compared to an mmo. Very much impressed that a game can take so long lol. I've never heard of mystic quest but I'll be sure to stay away ahah

I played it for a moment, couldn't get on your world though. I don't know...my first impressions are somewhat telling me its not my type of game, but I will give it a little more time before the trial runs out (which I should have waited since I lost five days due to business travel).

Hmm well that's unfortunate. Playing with others you know does make it allot better. I got my little brother hooked so I can team up with him. Ahah.

FFVII is my absolute fav hands down.

I played FFXIV ARR on PC for probably about a month, and then I got bored of it. Just couldn't get into it, though my friends were.

I played 14 on ps3. Definetly not as good as 11 IMO, but still fun.

Quit playing because at the time PS servers were not very good :P

Yeah, on the SNES. I still play my SNES on the regular.

FFXIV is much better on the PC.

Yeah, I can't play MMO's on consoles, doesn't work for me.

Yeah, after I couldn't get in the same world as you and savage I kind of lost motivation. Now the trial is up and I only played it once...Wish it didn't end so fast so I could have played more. I'd really have to have someone to play with to consider a full on MMO. Well we can still play destiny every blue moon(whenever I ever feel like picking it up again lol).

Right? Yeah it ends quick. I already have to resubscribe. Ugh the struggle lol. Just kidding. Destiny; man I don't remember the last time I played that. I think I'll actually be selling my copy. My brother is going to get the dlc but I'm through with that game.

Lol yeah... I already have the DLC so I will pick it up again...although its hard to get back into it. Well, maybe I could make a new square account and try on the PS4 instead of my PC when I actually have the time to play it for awhile.

Right on. Well I won't be going anywhere ahah. Until then, I'll continue to grind away lol

Soo do we have any others that play? I'm finally almost at a level 50 with my main class. Started a free company and we're just saving up for housing now!

Am about to get FFXIV myself! I've been thinking about this for a few weeks now and a friend of mine recently acquired it. We'll see what happens!

Awesome do you know what "world" they play in? It would be nice if we were on the same one :D

Yea, I've got it but have not accessed it yet as I'm still on the main storyline near the end though at last. I've heard good things from my Fc though!

I am going to drop DRG as my Main job and Going to main MCH now. Got it to 51 over the weekend.

Oh very cool. I just picked up that class a couple days ago. Reminds me of fallout;cosmetically with the gear and what not I have equip. Aha.

The class is very RNG. its fun to play, but its easy to just focus on your crossbars. I'm only lvl 55 now but its a fun class. Can't faceroll it.

(and very unrewarding)

So this thread is ancient I know.
But, I figure that there may be a renewed interest in the game because of it's addition to the Playstation 5 and the expansions that have been added.
Plus the changes that have been made and the one to come with how servers work. Making it easier to play together across said servers and worlds.
For me personally..
I still sign in to this day but a lot more inconsistently. If I play anything nowadays it's usually Warframe.
With that said though maybe knowing more people with a relatable interest in-game will help me sign in more often.!

Also as an update to my initial post; I typically don't play a healer anymore. I split my time between black mage and gun-breaker with gnb winning the toss 9 times out of 10 because FFVIII of course :)
