ISIS Performance Prototype Scion FR-S/BRZ Exhaust

We have just installed the brand new ISIS Performance Proto-type Exhaust for the FR-S. We were pleasantly surprised with the look and sound. We expected much more of that "wrx" sound from the exhaust, but it really isn't there. It sounds amazing in person. Our camera isn't the best.

We are told the first production batch should be available end of July, but they may ship a few before then. Gauging from their Genesis exhaust which is similar I expect pricing to be around $600 +/-

This one is a 2.5" catback. But have heard they might release a 3" for turbo applications down the road.

What do you guys think?

Tips are too big. But it'll probably still sell on that point alone.

bakerr6 06-11-2012 01:43 PM

I like the big tips, just wish they were rolled

Zoomie 06-11-2012 01:48 PM

I agree with WCBJR. It sounds great but the oversized tips with the tacky disco colored heat treatment screams RICER!!!!:barf:

that would look very sexy.

ChristosG 06-11-2012 02:00 PM

How much less does it weigh than the stock exhaust?

Koji_Online 06-11-2012 02:51 PM

Nice prototype & it has the sound I'm looking for!
Though, some questions & comments I have for the prototype are: Dyno results, please provide weight of the system, the passenger side tip is noticebly out of place/ lower ( the drivers side tip is positioned perfectly), & hopefully the final product is shorter (more in towards the car/ not feeling the look of how close the tips are to actually protruding out past the bumper line.)

I personally like & was looking for an affordable exhaust with that burnt titanium tip look; I also like the size of the tips filling out the space in the diffuser; just looking to see how my concerns will be addressed in a final product.

Thanks for sharing & lookin' forward to the result!

I <3 enjuku

Rolled tips would be nice but I dont mine the current ones. I agree they might look a little better if they didnt stick out so far.

Sounds great though. Ill definitely be rocking one.

+1 for rolled tips; that would add a nice high quality to the finish

Zgrinch 06-11-2012 07:12 PM

Liking the sound and in FL :D

bakerr6 06-11-2012 08:43 PM

I'm looking more for a tip like this:

Rampage 06-11-2012 08:53 PM

Tips are huge but it sounds really good. IMO best I have heard so far. Now what does it weigh and are there an HP or TQ gains to be had with it?

rikdrt1 06-11-2012 09:14 PM

please please keep it affordable too -- its nice !

any price or availability date yet ??

rikdrt1 06-11-2012 09:26 PM

yea, me too - rolled would be ok - but it is sticking out a bit - they need to pull it back since the bumper on this car is very useless anyway --- would look way better

Scooter Style 06-11-2012 09:28 PM

Want turn down's!

Bruninho8 06-11-2012 10:05 PM

sounds nice!

Keep in mind, this is a prototype system we are testing, from what they have told us, the goal of this system is to keep cost down, while maintaining good sound and looks.

As part of our testing, any issues or faults we found, we have noted and sent to ISIS so the final product will be perfected.

The tips actually don't stick too far out of the bumper like it seems like in the pictures, i have seen it personally, and it looks pretty good, the tips sit perfectly in the bumper and fill all that space we know scion put there for a reason ;)

rikdrt1 06-13-2012 12:08 AM

is the prototype ready yet ?? :)
i almost cant wait to see the price and availability -- i dont know if i can wait till July though....

I looked at that pic , and it does seem a bit long..
anticipation is killing me

If they can work on the tips, I'll be buying this when it comes out. I was trying to decide between this and the perrin exhaust. I wonder how this will sound with the rest of the exhaust being done>

FakeWhiteMan 06-13-2012 10:17 AM

Sounds really good. My only concern would be how it's going to sound with headers.

Boxer-Guy 06-13-2012 05:13 PM

When you guys say CatBack do you mean MidPipe with the Axle-Back ?

Mr.Jay 06-13-2012 05:35 PM

interested waiting on final specs

Yes, starts at the end of the factory downpipe, extends to the axle section and then into the axle back.

We are expected to get our first shipment of these exhaust mid to end of July, we will probably be announcing a pre order around that time. ;)

Alex

Boxer-Guy 06-13-2012 07:15 PM

Thanks for the response

Now I got to say that this is so far the best sounding exhaust next to Auto Factory.

bakerr6 06-20-2012 10:05 AM

I'm still excited about this. Did you find out if they were going to be modifying the tips at that time? Also, when will their downpipe be released?

xcelir8brz 06-20-2012 02:50 PM

Sounds a bit raspy. Check out Accelerate Performance's one. Don's is 'perfect'.

is it done yet ??
oh man, whoever makes the best looking one for the most reasonable price is going to make a fortune... im dying to see this one. ilike the colored tips on this - just hope the tips end up shorter and flush to the bumper - maybe a less costly ones without all the added color and flare.

im waiting....

Asterisked Accolade 06-21-2012 12:20 AM

I think it looks and sounds good . Everyone has their own idea of rice.

White64Goat 06-30-2012 03:53 PM

How about no blue and slash cut?

Jared0934 06-30-2012 09:27 PM

Are these out yet  totally waiting on the Isis over the other brands... Really brings out that RAWR-Factor

Mo707 07-01-2012 04:10 AM

i like the burnt tips looks good and sounds amazing.
2 questions...
1) When with this be available to buy?
2) How much is it gunna cost?? $.$

FlipFRS 07-01-2012 03:21 PM

Waiting on these too, Love the sound of it !

Jared0934 07-04-2012 07:19 PM

End of July I guess is when pre orders start?

Is it at all possible we'll be able to see the weight different and TQ/HP gains within the month?

mr. slim 07-18-2012 12:44 AM

Any word on these?

Rurounimidnight 07-18-2012 07:44 AM

Please don't change a thing and id love to buy, great stuff.

Enjuku Racing 07-19-2012 03:34 PM
