LegSport single exit axle-back

I've been obsessed with the LegSport exhaust ever since I saw the video in the Exhaust Compilation thread, and the design is extremely clever IMO...

So I bought one, and here it is fresh from Japanparts:

I'll have better pics and get it installed tomorrow! :party0030:

Right now, I have a TRD exhaust modified with a larger midpipe and quieter 2.5" resonator, and Revworks headers.

Eventually I plan on getting an upgraded mipdipe and maybe front pipe as well, but I'm going to keep it quiet as possible with the headers.

I also mostly bought this because I had to order some engine mounts from Japanparts, figured I'd get a little something extra too :P

Yeah... Definitely gonna need a video of this for sure.

Nice and quiet 90% of the time, and the sound is VERY smooth even with the UEL headers. No drone, no excessive noise, just a nice note :)

whoa I love that design. Can we get a drive by video?

Japanparts.com

Only took 2 weeks from order date to arrival, not bad at all.

awesome. It's what ive been looking for, a quiet single exit. Hopefully ill stay under 92db with a full catless setup. But even if i dont, it'll be better than my TRD cbe

Its probably your quietest option with a catless exhaust, especially if you do something like the resonated front pipe and keep a resonator in the midpipe too.

My plan is a nameless all-in-one front pipe (resonated/catless) with a WORKS midpipe. Already have the Revworks headers.

tsk tsk. Revving like that when the engine isn't even warm, yet.

no load free-revving a little on ~120F oil isn't going to hurt anything..

I just installed a Nameless Frontpipe/Overpipe combo (With a cat, but without a hemholtz).

It sounds just a bit louder now, but still has NO drone what so ever even though I do not have the Hemholtz in the front pipe now. Tested it during cruising speeds, and its perfectly quiet, but when I get on it it sounds just right :D

I'm VERY happy with this exhaust setup now, they REALLY knew what they were doing at LegSport when they designed this muffler its perfect for those who want a quality 2.5" exhaust system but without a shit ton of noise!

nice, im still waiting on the payment to go through. Been about 6 days

_gt86_user 03-24-2015 07:25 PM

Trying to sell my Greddy SP axle back so I can buy this! I am surprised I haven't seen any U.S. companies utilizing a dual muffler single tip design.

Clipdat 03-24-2015 07:45 PM

Is the exhaust tip not centered in the cutout, or is it just an optical illusion thanks to the photo? Do you have another pic from directly behind?

Took about a week and a half, they don't charge you until they get the part from the company, so it might take a little time. But after that, takes about a week or so to get to the U.S. from Japan.

bkblitzed 04-01-2015 09:33 PM

Just found out my trd midpipe doesn't fit the legsport muffler lol.. hopefully my friend can let me use his.

zc06_kisstherain 04-02-2015 09:51 AM

looks nice.

femaledog 10-29-2020 08:13 AM

Hey @Kostamojen I know this is revisiting ancient history, but how would you compare the Legsport to the TRD? I'm thinking of getting rid of my TRD in favor of the Legsport (otherwise similar setup with headers).
