OFT - Example alternate maps for AT, 98RON, E85, MAF Scales

I now have files hosted for all MY12-16 cals here. - On my roms you can dial in AFR perfectly on stock intake IN ONE REVISION with alternate maf scales. - All are cal hacked from A01G/A01I/B01C/B01D, thus logging and LC work for every rom on OFT. - No issues with unmapped DTC's or E85 cranking. - Includes FLEX FUEL for both 6AT and 6MT. - I've done a few MY17's now, but I've no idea about the logging capabilities for those cars on OFT yet. How hard is it to apply these same changes to the manual ZA1J___G ROMS (EU 6MT) roms? Have you made any changes for your PSR Headers (or are they similar enough to the OpenFlash headers that they just work)? |
Yep, any G rom.
Most UEL are the same. The ethanol in our E85 is mixed with worse fuel than US though, so there's some timing taken out for knock a few people have logged at 6800rpm, even though our E% is higher. |

I do wonder if there is any further discussion on long term effects of running lean even on low load but for extended times? What to look for when logging, what could go wrong? Target AFR 14.7? Is this both DI and indirect injection? Also what happens during the warm up phase? Sorry lots of questions :) |

If you have a look at the stock rom fueling tables you will see it runs leaner than these tunes for higher rpm and loads. The OL AFR fueling tables are the target afr, their are tables for the di\pi ratios but the overall target afr is determined by the ol fuel table and a couple of closed loop offset tables when running in closed loop. Ethanol generally results in lower exhaust temps than petrol. As always these tunes are provided free with no guarantee, run at your own risk. @Wayno and myself have been running them for a few months and mine is running leaner tables than the ones posted here, however everyones fuel blends are different.. always check your tune is running reasnoble fuel trims less than 10%, your wot afr follows open loop fuel table and little or no knock and iam at 1. by warmup phase assume you mean high rev cold start, as far as we know this is just to heat cats for emmisions purposes, you still need to give you car about 10 minutes to get coolant and oil to operating temps, regardless of what alterations you make to starup phase |

It means my fuel economy with the off the shelf tune on AT was
10L/100km displayed; 13.3L/100km (17.7MPG) actual. With the manual transmission throttle map I got my fuel economy down to 9.4L/100km displayed; 12.5L/100km (18.8MPG) actual. Saving: 0.8L/100km Then by modifying the tune I got from that point down to 8.5L/100km displayed; 11.3L/100km (20.8MPG) actual. Wayno, do you or Steve have a copy of this for a manual at all? I am currently running the OF header and E85 but don't have the confidence to mess about changing tables etc with the OFT as I am sure I would bugger something up :confused0068:so am just running their off the shelf map.

I've many revisions so I'm not keeping a G rom up to date unnecessarily.

Would love to see an A01G version of this update,
I noticed when doing a comparison between A01G v23 and this A01I v33, it showed 41 changed tables and 33 missing. Some tables weren't exactly the same either like Base timing idle (in gear) so would copying down fueling, timing and IAT compensation be sufficient? |
Didn't i list the tables changed in the first post?
AT/MT are never going to have all the exact same tables of the same size and definitions to match. All the ones changed are transferable though. |

The latest 98 map has timing added back in instead of blanket pull from the entire thing. I went back through all my Stg1 98 logs and redid it from scratch with the new methods I discovered. Latest should have a slight increase of power and still keep IAM up. If you have good fuel, just copy the entire base timing table from the OTS tunes. The E85 map was rapidly evolving and updating every few days, but should be final now. If they have a version earlier than v33, they should definitely update. Best to load both in RR and compare to see the changes. Timing was too conservative in previous versions. v33 (no letter) is the file to flash. v33F is the same tune as v33, except that KCA has been flattened and Base Timing compensated. This is the one I adjust, then transfer the changes to the other rom. v33W has my personal MAF scale and is experimental - UEL headers, stock airbox, stock intake hose, stock intake snorkel, stock cat back. I used your E85 G-rom earlier, when you first released it, but it gave me some high fuel trims (close to -10% at OL). I think it might have been because of the MAF sensor scaling. With the OTS E85 map my STFT and LTFT stay close to 0, that means in the range from -3% to +3%. Only at highway speeds and at OL LTFT stays at a constant of -4.68%. I'm not that good at this yet, but try to pick up and learn a lot about diagnostics an tuning, so bear with me here. I want to try to apply your tune again but this time without the MAF scaling. Yep, the v33 I uploaded has the off the shelf 2.0 MAF scale. You must have the "just right" setup for good trims like those.

With ztan's di/pi fix, i have stock AT 700rpm idle. Imo you're wasting 25% more fuel for no reason. Get some headers and plug up the sound tube and you'll hear the exhaust.
You don't need to correct overall trims, you only need to correct AFRs. If you're hitting 12.5-12.0 in OL, don't bother. Were you running eflex? |

Don't want to break the warranty just yet, as I've only had the car for a year and driven 16000 km, so I'll wait a couple of years with the header. I know it would be burning some more fuel, but it just sounds to me like it should have had a few more idle rpm from the factory. When the a/c compressor starts when I'm just about to pull away at a traffic light - right as I'm lifting the clutch a bit and just before I get on the gas - it sometimes gets a little choppy... And I'm not standing around in idle all day, so guess I wouldn't even notice in fuel economy ;) Looks like AFR stays between 13 and 12 in OL, just reaching 11.48 at the last reading at red line... Sorry, what is eflex? You mean flex-fuel kit? If that, then no :) |

I've applied the changes now, but it's still in the trim learning phase.
It already feels much smoother and looks like there is no impact on the rpm when a/c kicks in :thumbsup: |

Yes, it was actually already applied in Wayno's tune, so I just copied it over.
I did a 20 minute log on my way to work today. It was mostly city driving with 3 minutes on the highway. Could you please have a look at it, because I see some fairly high fuel trims at low rpm and load - also STFT counters LTFT by quite much a times. IAM stays at 1 and no knock according to FLKC and FBKC.
