looks great!

Wow! I got to start saving my pennies now! Thanks for posting. Want to share the cost?

Lonewolf 06-11-2012 12:15 AM

Spooge! I want those headlights!

ihaskrayon 06-11-2012 12:28 AM

What are the installs like for the sides and spoiler?

I can see for the sides that it has fasteners, but does it also have double side tape?

For the spoiler, does it have hole mounts or just pure double side tape? Also, can you take a picture of the top of the lip. I would like to know if it would cover any holes from the BRZ limited spoiler.

switchlanez 06-11-2012 01:09 AM

Yes, curious to know if installing the side skirts require any drilling. Moreover, if any of the parts including the rear lip spoiler require drilling.

SpecPer 06-11-2012 01:28 AM

The front lip required two holes inside the grill, the side skirts no drilling at all, the rear trunk lip had 2 small screw holes to be opened into the trunk an I decided I didn't want to use them. Everything else is installed with the supplied 3m tape already attached to the parts. Also, every part was a perfect fit. Also, the rear bumper cover has not been installed yet so I will update install on this piece once installed this week.

Were are the holes located in the trunk so I can let you know if they will get covered

the complete trd kit is around 2200, and about 1100 for each of the headlights plus shipping.

enigma 06-11-2012 01:33 AM

More important than the kit... how much were the headlights and where can you source them? Being for the JDM market, are they angled towards the left rather than the right?

86_ZN6 06-11-2012 01:37 AM

Are the headlights aimed the wrong direction since they are jdm?

Full bodykit means you also have the rears right?

Didnt see a pic! Show us the rears as well

Also were the lights plug and play with US harness?

Write up please!

I have no idea since I don't have my BRZ just yet :sigh:

If you could post a top view of the trunk I could just do a visual to see if it would cover the are the limited spoiler sits. I'm assuming it would be a direct cover, but I'd rather not waste money and be wrong.

If anyone with a BRZ limited could chime in that would be helpful as well

I didnt have time to install the rear bumper piece and will post pics once installed. The JDM headlights use a diff harness plug, so I just rewired them to use with the oem US-SPEC plug and that was it.

I didnt have any problems with the angle on the lights. We can get you the lights if needed.

Are the led strip working? How about leveling?

Can you do a install write up for us?

Also noticed that you still have scion caps. Time to change it as well. Haha

RRnold 06-11-2012 02:04 AM

Looks damn good! and a better reason why it should have been a Toyota here in the US in the first place.

There is just something about it that makes it look better with the Toyota emblems.

phm14 06-11-2012 02:10 AM

Are the body parts pre-painted?

Calidrifter 06-11-2012 02:14 AM

I believe from another thread I read that they are painted either black or white or come unpainted.

wheels will be changed to some aftermarket. The led strips work perfectly. I decided not to order the leveling unit from japan as it its the same one used on the BRZ so i will be getting it here in the states from my local subaru dealer for much cheaper.

thats correct, the kit will come pre painted in only white, or black, and unpainted.

chulooz 06-11-2012 02:28 AM

Looks pretty nice, but id grab some chrome bulbs to get rid of those egg yolks in the front.

That sucks, they should take a que from mazda. I'd like to do a lip spoiler, but having to spend a crap load on paint will probably change my mind.

oso_25 06-11-2012 02:37 AM

Love the headlights might install them on my Frs

ScottyP3821 06-11-2012 02:45 AM

that rear lip is sex

rikdrt1 06-11-2012 02:57 AM

i like the spoiler on this car - where can i buy it and how much ??

ChrisOkc8 06-11-2012 02:59 AM

I dont like that it came with the front license plate holder. Wouldn't stop me from getting it though. Your car looks sexy. Could you do a write up of how you did led wiring?

Verge 06-11-2012 03:14 AM

Can you take some more pictures of the spoiler?? I can't decide if i want this or the five axis wing.

So u are saying u just taped the trunk spoiler without using the screws at all?

Is the spoiler sturdy??

Thx

prIce to shIp to AustralIa? Interested In skIrts and front bumper!

WingsofWar 06-11-2012 03:52 AM

duckbill spoilers typically don't experience the kind of drag that other wings do. They function to aid latent rear detachment and smoothen out turbulence.

So 3m or any real sticky and strong adhesive is enough to mount those kinds of spoilers. They are not required to be bolted in.

I would bolt it in though to prevent it from being stolen but that's just me.

I did an edit that you may not have caught. That's just the lights that are set to JDM specs.

I think you can get the Subaru ECU and leveling sensor to save some money here in the USDM market at a Subaru dealer

Staticfrost 06-11-2012 06:25 AM

is it the lighting or something... looks like the kit colour doesn't match :s which i hoped it did as it was stated it would :s

Calidrifter 06-11-2012 07:05 AM

Color will vary from part to part unless they were painted on the same run.

The price of 1100 is per headlight. Meaning that 2 would cost 2200.

Think of the duckbills as an extension of the car whereas the gt or raised spoilers where the weight is further back and above the car need to be bolted down.

3m will do the job to keep the wing in place. Just think of it as a giant emblem.

lordtakuban 06-11-2012 08:59 AM

Those pics are sexy indeed. I must resist the urge to spend all money's immediately after taking delivery...

mickey177 06-11-2012 10:25 AM

I just want to verfiy and be sure.So this kit can order with the same whiteout paint that is used on the car right? Not a different shade of white right?
