Found a used 2013 FRS nearby but the dealership does not have a carfax report online to view can anyway get me a report? The VIN is JF1ZNAA1XD2722243

You can ask the dealer for a carfax printout as well. If they care to sell it, they will provide you with one ahead of time.

But nothing beats a thorough inspection and test drive. :cheers:

Just FYI, responsible dealerships provide CarFaxes. Ask them for it. It only costs them a little bit to have an unlimited subscription to pull multiple CarFaxes. One car sale's revenue is more than enough to eat up the cost. If they refuse, then that should be your answer.

As a general rule if they are at local used car dealers and not the branded car dealers there is a reason.

At least the second one doesn't have reported frame damage or all the other mx issues. Good track car. :D

There is a reason the cars end up at mom and pop dealerships they buy the lemon car from an auction and sell it. A regular dealership cannot sell those cars

At my dealership, any car that doesn't pass our inspection WILL end up at the auction. And third party car dealers will buy them up, "fix" them up enough to sell, and put them up for sale. Some may provide a CarFax, but you have a 50/50 chance of ending up with a well-hidden lemon. (And I attest to this from experience.) And when it comes to lemon used cars, there's more than likely nothing you can do to get your money back.

This looks legit to me. Not sold at auction, 1-owner and was a lease. Priced within my budget and looks to be in great condition.

I was reading through it like "Oh thats nice it well maintained, oh look thats serviced thats nice", then the accident "oh moderate damage not that big of a deal" *scrolls down* "Frame damage...that escalated quickly"

Yeah its been a nightmare so far in my search..... I might wait for a slightly used 2014/2015 as the 2013's have the most problems and seem so sketch.

Just ask for a CarFax. Don't be afraid to come in and check it out either. They can't force you to buy a car. That decision is yours and yours alone.

This car must have been wrecked as well...looks like there is an automatic transmission in this. Not sure what could have happened??

Why assume it was wrecked? The price is right in line with others. It is a MT as seen in the picture.

Looks auto to me...and it was a joke...giving the guy a hard time for considering an auto.

If you're looking at those prices look up toyota Thornton road. There's more than a few they had listed a while back NEW at 22-23k. One was hot lava and one was white. I'd go with that 2-4k more than those used cars and new. guaranteed to not be lemons (kind of haha). I swung by a month or so ago and they said they'd honor those prices.

He should open up PayPal donations for his services at least. My father's a real estate appraiser and the amount of loan officers asking him to do free work since he has licenses to stuff like MLS databases is pretty high.
