What is the first thing you're doing to your car in spring

So I'm curious what people will be doing first to their car in spring.

First thing I'm doing is installing a rexspeed lip, exhaust tip from Japan, cusco pedals, MPSS and detailing my BRZ. That's gonna be a fun busy day. Can't wait!

x1UP 02-27-2015 12:34 AM

I plan to install my ARK DT-S exhaust which I cannot wait! Curious, what exhaust tip from Japan did you get?

Kryptik319 02-27-2015 12:35 AM

Tune for E85. I seriously can't wait.

Stevemachine17 02-27-2015 12:37 AM

I am trying to plan a short roadtrip (2-4 days)! I just wanna drive, somewhere, ANYWHERE! hahaha

Just the oem part from nigel parts. I was going to order from the dealership but the ones from japan stick out a little bit from the bumper.

I was going to buy the invidia q300 but I didn't want any hassle from the dealership if i needed to use the warrantee.

You should still go for it. You can always put back your stock exhaust if you need a warranty fix.

ARTBRZ 02-27-2015 02:24 AM

The q300 may be on my next mod, after an armrest. What made you decide on ARK DT-S exhaust over the other exhaust?

sprintertrueno86 02-27-2015 03:12 AM

Wash.

hmong337 02-27-2015 03:34 AM

Parking this shitbox so I can drive my mr2!

Maritime Storm 02-27-2015 06:47 AM

The first nice day will be a complete writeoff for me, 3 cigars, one wash bucket, an array of detailing products, and 2 coats of carnuba baby. Hachi and the truck will be restored to clean and shiny, from filthy and salt covered.

Jesse36m3 02-27-2015 06:54 AM

I've got some wheels and tires, hotchkis suspension, camber bolts, perrin shifter bushing, perrin tranny mount, oil, tranny & diff fluid, and air filter all lined up ready to go. Also whatever else I buy from now until spring. And of course a detail.

dtrop 02-27-2015 11:39 AM

Perrin catback
Diode Dynamics "always on" boomerang module
Crawford Ecoboost
Michelin super Sports
xxr 550 chromium black
Maybe version 3 Valentis with sequential turns

shifter907 02-27-2015 11:40 AM

Alignment.
All of the parts I bought in the last few months are on the car already, besides welding up my custom track pipe.

srizzors25 02-27-2015 11:55 AM

18's and tires, lug nuts, toe arms and a lip kit. Been waiting until its not so snowy. Going to try to dial out that rear camber and give it some nice wheels that'll give it the look I've been waiting for.

What is the Crawford Ecoboost? I tried to Google and it showed me ford cars.

Koa 02-27-2015 12:04 PM

Maybe he meant eco-block? (or power blocks?)

http://crawfordperformance.com/product/eco-block-q1/

It's that MAF spacer. Suppsed to have minor mpg/hp gains.

I have one on my car right now, got it on sale so it was cheap figured why not. Can't speak to the hp but I have found a minor mpg bump.

It's supposed to work pretty much only on stock cars. I was told that they got 22hp out of a stock STI which is interesting

brandonblt2 02-27-2015 12:42 PM

Berk Overpipe, leather SARD seat covers, full lip kit, 550 xxr wheels, and a detailing

Alq 02-27-2015 01:02 PM

Spring:
K&N Drop in filter
Opticoat
Blackvue 650GW

Summer:
Gramlight 57DR 17s
Perrin spacers (25 and 30mm front and back)
Eibach pro springs

yes, ecoblock. I don't know why I always called it ecoboost, haha. Cause Mustang.

Slight mpg and slight power, but nothing like the stock STi in gains.

$40 to try it out doesn't hurt

AznBRZer 02-27-2015 01:24 PM

Wash and alignment. Saw some uneven wear on tires so I must have camber issues.

Takumi788 02-27-2015 01:39 PM

Install OFH
Install Jon Motoring Over pipe
OFT stage 2 93 octane flash
Install Maximal Performance oil cooler
Motul Trans/diff fluid
Install Stoptech slotted rear rotors
Install Hawk HP+ rear pads
Install Rain guards
Install Forcewerks V2 lip
and then go for a nice long touge run followed by a Watkins Glen track day on April 27th

srizzors25 02-27-2015 02:04 PM

I want the opticoat! That or a full clear bra up front. I have the oem clear bra on the hood only and its already scratched. My poor car is getting small chips from these crap roads this winter

Interesting. My car will have a stock tune for a while. Hmm why not...gives me an excuse to work with the car instead of house work.

srizzors25 02-27-2015 02:27 PM

It's pretty cheap and takes literally 2 minutes to install haha

bcj 02-27-2015 07:05 PM

Second on the Road Trip!

Choco 02-27-2015 10:22 PM

30k mile service
Diode Dynamics always on module and a few more mods...
Engine bay cleaning.
Wash, clay, swirl removal, wax...
Maybe mini roadtrip :D

Probably doing most this stuff in early March when not really officially spring.

dtrop 02-27-2015 11:19 PM

Couldn't wait since I posted in this thread.

Installed my diode dynamics always on module. It was easy and I was able to hide the wires well.

Also installed the ecoblock but have not driven it yet.

cjd 02-27-2015 11:25 PM

Wash and wax, oil change (I'm just over 5000 miles...), new pads, brake fluid, Sprint kit install, headerback install, tune, a bunch of bushings/inserts,
rear LCA's and full coilovers (assuming they get here before I get the car out for spring), alignment... Uhh... Swap into summer tires once temps stabilize above 40... I feel like I'm forgetting something...

Looking forward to this summer. :)

CB750F 02-28-2015 10:27 AM

Bought the car in Oct '14. Stored in Dec, only 2000km. Ready for it's 6mth checkup(Apr).
Opticoat.
I'm keeping it stock for a few yrs. Then lip, skirt, rear diffuser, catted UEL(FTspeedfactory), Lachute catback, coilover, tune, drop in filter & God knows what else.

PollosHermanos 02-28-2015 10:50 AM

1.) Mounting these on the car instead of my 16'' nasty steelies.

http://i.imgur.com/WD0Q2gw.jpg

2.) When I have the tires off finally get around to installing my OEM muldflaps.

3.) Maybe some license plate LEDs.

4.) Weekly washes/rinses on Saturday mornings because that is my happy time.

raven1231 02-28-2015 11:03 AM

Install Xxr 530's summer tires and SBD turbo kit

Ursam 02-28-2015 06:47 PM

Backup camera for me. The lack of visibility out the back of this car is just asking for trouble.

BRZZZZZZZZZZ 03-03-2015 06:27 PM

Roaaaadddddd trippppppp

quicksilver30 03-03-2015 07:43 PM

Delicious tuning flex fuel kit. FT86SpeedFactory flex fuel tune. Probably new brakes depending on how the first few AutoX go.

With this weather in Ohio I'm ready for the warmth so my car can come back out of the garage.

CatDaddysBBQ 03-03-2015 11:47 PM

I've got a little stash of updates...

Stop tech pads all around with new fluid and braided lines,
Camber bolts and a set of light team Dynamics Pro Race 1.0 wrapped in some MPSS

Didn't even realize I didn't answer this question. My bad! :bonk:

I chose the ARK DT-S simply for the sound it makes and of course, I would be lying if I said that I didn't buy this because not so many people have it. I like that exclusivity about it. The price though, I got a great deal on it, so I went for it. Otherwise, the price for it is pretty steep considering you can get others for much less. But I digress.

Greddy though makes some quality exhausts for our cars and if I hadn't gotten the ARK, I would have bought the EVO GT that just came out.

s0sl0w 03-04-2015 12:20 AM

New summer tires, front camber bolts, camber bushings for the rear and steering rack bushings.

dodj 03-06-2015 09:24 AM

First thing? Take off my winter tires.
Second. Wash
Third. Detail
That should kill a day.

And then there's the Challenger. Another day.

Then it will rain. :mad0260:

meeskee2 03-06-2015 09:59 AM

Wash, wax and a thorough interior cleaning. I should have bought Weathertech mats like I was planning at the beginning of the winter. I couldn't keep up this year, my driver side mat is BEAT. haha

As far as any mods, I want to just wrap some interior trim and maybe but in a short shifter.
