Glad you reposted this incase people miss it, it'll soon be buried in the OG post..

Anyway, I was thinking about buying the 5000K instead of the 6000K HID bulb from DD as well to match the DRL bar's LED temperature (which is pure white). Any thoughts?

I'm personally running 6K on HIDS and FOGS. Ordered this yesterday, so we'll see how it looks. btw these fogs are the DEPO ones from Diode Dynamics ;)

awesome module, especially with the flexibility in boomerang/DRL adjustment and the DRL brightness too. any chance of a promo price for this if enough people are interested?

I don't know if Diode Dynamics is offering GB on this or not ? It currently sells for $60 on their website, even if it were to drop by $10 on GB, I would have still paid the $60 for it to avoid wait times. I think the price is reasonable for such a great and simple mod that takes 5min to install :thumbsup:

They've stated that they are not going to do a group buy on these.

Maybe I misunderstand your comment, but if you look back a few posts, you will see I'm already running boomerangs with fogs and no modz. Or do you mean just the boomerang and fog alone, no headlight ?

Would like to ask will this work on the Asian spec BRZ? We do not have the DRL's near the fog lights and there is no fuse for the non-existent DRL.

Unfortunately we don't have access to Asian-spec BRZ's, so I can't confirm that fitment

Looks like I'm having an issue with my unit.i plugged in everything and it looks like it will work at night my boomerang and bottom drl strip turns on with my headlight but during the day my drl strip and boomerang does not come on.i leave my car on auto function. Any insight??

Very nice unit. I dont have a BRZ but i can see this module working for many different cars if people are good with wiring.

This is kind of tempting for my monogram frs.

I installed mine today. Both boomerang and DRL were on in drive, however BOTH were off when in park.

Any thoughts?

Mystery solved.......Having a remote starter turns the boomerangs on (prior to module install) while car is parked.


So when I used my remote (after module installation) to start my car, my DRLS turn on and my boomerangs.

Got mine in today! Perfect install, zero issues. I did wrap the wires though just to further weather proof everything. And also bare wires just seemed kinda tacky. Either way, it's a BEAUTIFUL mod, especially for how cheap it is. Couldn't be happier!!

Thanks for the feedback- we're trying our hardest to find a good supplier of bulk wire loom. Harder than we thought! Glad you enjoy it though.

Ordered mine 5 days ago. Nothing yet but still excited!

I've got an RMA in for them. I had an issue where the DRLs wouldn't turn on at all once I had everything installed. But the actual headlights ran perfectly well (DRLs included). My buddy and I went through everything we could think of (brake, connections, jumpers, etc.). Then went through DD support and ran through everything else they could think of.

RMA replacement should be in any day now, so I'll post an update when I get through with that.

Headlights looked great, but I mostly wanted it for the boomerang DRLs. haha

Mine came in a few days ago from BRZWorld. I have been following this project since the beginning and it was definitely worth the wait. Installation could not of been easier! The only criticism I have is that the clips on the connectors broke and without much force. It does not seem to be an issue since the connectors are held in pretty tightly.

There's quite a bit of confusion regarding installation- mainly about when the factory DRL actually comes on- but overall, we're seeing great results from nearly every kit, especially after we resolved the wiring issue that affected about 5% of the initial batch.

We're seeing less than 1% defect rate on those that have gone out in the past 2 weeks. Thanks for everyone's support!

Finally got around to installing this. Ran some loom from one end to other for extra protection and a finished look. Installed without any issues as everything is simply plug & play. Highly recommend this mod, everything works and runs as advertised :thumbsup:
