Coldest you've driven your BRZ

-9 degrees Fahrenheit this morning. Shifter was viscous, but the car did well.
-17 This morning on the way home from work. Car was a little rough to start, but it did very well. I should have taken a picture.
~50 degrees
Don't have a photo, but it was around -10 F.
Around -8F
My record (so far) is +3F (last winter). This morning it hit +5F briefly during the drive to work.
-44°c the year I bought it. Hasn't seen one since
-27*C
And no, windchill is not a factor when considering temperature people. Windchill doesn't not affect inanimate objects. |
Today, 0 degrees.
I was coming home from work last year around 4am and I think it was around the -35C range.
i drove my wrx in -56f degrees in fairbanks alaska, i can feel the power with that cold air.
I might have driven in the mid 40's once. Even at those high temps I could tell the summer tires weren't as grippy.
~38F
Around -30 Celsius last winter. -19 Celsius with the S/C on it.
Around -4 degrees last weekend. Cranked more than usual to start. I also stayed out of second for the first couple of miles.
But the positive of having a small car is that it takes that much lesser time to warm the interior. And the heated seats are a life saver! |
2F a few days ago. It didn't like starting, but once it did it was fine. Heated seats are awesome though.
-9 here too. Car prolly would hit 99 in the quarter. Wish it felt like this year round.

Dipstik-sportech mentioned it was a one time thing, but does anyone regularly drive at extremely cold temps, and what sort of vehicle prep is done? (beyond thinner fluids) It's unlikely I'll ever drive below -10F, so I don't need to... just curious. |
OW20 in the winter and if it's below -15C (5F) I'll plug the car in for a few hours (2-6 depending on how cold) before I go any where. Also when I do start the car, I turn off the vents. Not sure if it helps, but I find the car (not inside) seems to warm up a bit quicker on cold days. For what it's worth I live about 5 minutes from Dipstik
