Ok peoples, I have a rant. Please do not adjust your sets. Ready?
I, and therefore the wife, don't celebrate Valentine's Day. I maintain one can show one's affection on any day of the year. I also suggest it is more meaningful when there is no obligation to do so.
Okies, rant over.
Thanks for the opportunity to inflict my opinion upon your innocent selves.

Agreed. The woman and I still surprise each other with little things, but that is normally about it. I make it a point to treat her right year round, so one day doesn't matter much.

cdrazic93 02-15-2015 02:53 AM

Dont get me wrong, its not like I treat my lady poorly. Nor do I not do the little things for her, but I make them extra special for her on valentines day. Maybe because I've only been in it 2 years?

I got her a back massage at the local spa (she broke her back running) and we then went to see 50 shades of grey.

The twins accelerate much better when there's no one in the passenger seat. Best to stay single, or if applicable, get single.

cdrazic93 02-15-2015 02:55 PM

I didn't watch the movie, I couldhave cared less, but it helped me later that's for sure.

You mean it's more like a documentary?

Yup, he's Efin. He's definitely a husky, he's cute but he's a bad boy. haha

The wife and I are trying to break away from our love affair with boxers and raise another breed. We're looking at Pomskies and regular siberians! I just love my little one way too much! She got hit by a car when she was a puppy.. broke her leg.. docs said they might have to amputate the leg because they hypothesized she would continue growing but the leg wouldnt...

well she stopped growing! She's effectively the only "pygmy boxer" I've ever seen, and have been raising boxers for 20 years :)

Her name is Lilly (short for Queen Liliuokalani, last royalty of sovereign Hawai'i. Peep the leg- two screws and a plate... when it's super cold out (snow days at the cabin) she squeaks.. its sadly cute)

Drive down Ortega, lunch and saw 50 shades of gray with the wife.

Calum 02-16-2015 07:30 PM

I watched Robots with the wife and kids.

The closest we get to celebrating valentines is saying happy valentines at some point in the day. Neither one of us could care less about this ridiculous day.

Can't really blame her. Dat xtra-firm pillow lyfe.

wbradley 02-16-2015 08:03 PM

Took my 7 yr old to the Canadian Auto Show. Fighting a chest cold the past few days. Not sure if related, but Fri morning ate 2 venison pepperonis from a bunch of packages a client in NJ illegally shipped to Canada (labelled snack sticks). Anyway on the way home on the subway I became extremely nauseous and grabbed my son and got off the train and puked repeatedly in the recycling can on the platform. Some asshole in a train going the other way gave a a thumbs up and a cheer when his doors opened. Made it home OK despite a ton of walking and was very sick until this morning. Good thing we had a long weekend for recovery.

Also, gave my wife roses and a card Saturday morning.

Aww! Lilly is adorable. She almost looks like the boxer that lives across the street from me. If you do get a purebred husky, just expect him/her to be very naughty and don't expect it to come back when it runs off! lol

I call him a Derpsky cause he used to make too many weird faces. (We used to suspect he was dropped in the head prior to getting him) :bonk:

If you have been breeding boxers for so long why the change? Just curious :)

I should have worded it a little differently.. my family has been a boxer family, and my wife fell in love with them as well. We only want to raise another breed- we don't breed 'em :)

She comes from a family that has had quite a bit of breeds throughout the years and although I LOVE boxers (in my opinion, one of the best family dogs around), I really want an ice-blue eyes husky.

Also a graduate of UW, go huskies!

Well, in that case, I need to get myself a wolf because I'm a UNM alum. Go Lobos!
