••• Where to buy BRZ Front mark and grill...

Tonight a cars muffler flew off their car on the freeway and destroyed my front bumper (at 85mph) it was mainly the grill and front mask area :cry::cry:
...Where can I get the OEM front mask on for the BRZ again... I don't wanna talk to the dealer if I don't have too...

If anyone has the part numbers for the front bumper mask and grill the black plastic pieces or where I can buy it all I will love you forever...

Thanks

Isn't that whole black plastic piece part of the entire front bumper? Like if you need to replace that, you will have to by a new bumper. :iono:http://www.subarupartsamerica.com/pa...agramCallOut=1

That would be quite unfortunate...

Time for some new headlights and an FR-S front end!

NickGTI32 02-13-2015 10:43 AM

Absolutely not. If a foreign object slams your car, its not wear and tear. Call your insurance company already.

Did you get the plate # from the other car?

Yeah, you'll have to call your insurance company. If you got the plate number of the car that lost the muffler than your insurance company could go after the other party. But most likely you will need a new front bumper. Similar thing happened to me when I hit a "road gator" on the highway last year.

Is the black grill part part of the whole bumper

I did not it was just an exhaust hurling down the freeway no idea what car it came from...

yes

The front bumper cover is one piece. you need to replace and paint the whole bumper cover. If you are lucky, you may try to find a used one that is same color.

Choco 02-13-2015 06:28 PM

You can replace the grill though... http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43825

If you use your insurance, it will fall under comprehensive insurance since this is considered a "Rocket" and therefore unavoidable.

This is exactly what I ended up doing... goes into the shop on monday...
just paying the deductible and that will be that. Any idea if my rate is going to go up?

Thank you all for the comments and advice!

If it's under comprehensive no. Just note, if it falls under comprehensive or collision will be up to the insurance company.

You'll need to make a statement of what happened.

Usually if it's above the ankle/knee height it's a comprehensive.

Yes i completely agree. Just wanted to clarify with the previous person that swapping headlights does nothing, especially when brz headlights are better than frs ones also lol

NickGTI32 02-16-2015 05:42 PM

I guess the radiator was also cracked and bent from the impact so it will be a few more days in the shop then expected. Excellent service tho from GEICO and the shop hope to have her back soon...
