Did a quick browse to see if this had been posted... If it has just throw some "Repost" on here and let it fall to the bottom!

I don't know... I like to know when my car is going to accelerate! :) :happy0180:

Kimsey47 06-08-2012 12:50 PM

Actually, I haven't saw many reports on here about the tails and I haven't saw a thing about the body panels... Where are the body panel complaints?

Body panel fitment issues--like, too big of gaps and such. I haven't noticed either issue on my car, though. :iono:

Yeah, my car is perfect. I did notice that the rear "could" be missing some clips; however, it doesn't appear loose or have any gap. Car news must be slow for Jalopnik today... I did like how the Mustang V6 owners are trying to jump on this! lol Guess they are forgetting their CHINESE tranny's in their AMERICAN cars...

Spaceywilly 06-08-2012 01:08 PM

The TSB specifically mentions that the hood and trunk sometimes are not lined up, ie the gap is bigger at the top of the hood than the front. I have not seen any complaints either so I'm guessing it is coming from the port inspections.

Kimsey47 06-08-2012 01:10 PM

Cool, thanks for the clarifying! But yeah, issues seem to be very limited. Not news worthy I would think!

Jeff Lange 06-08-2012 01:12 PM

I posted about it a couple of weeks ago, but not in detail. I just saw the bulletins and mentioned it.

Jeff

What's wrong with Chinese Made? Most of your Volks, BBS, etc etc. are made in China........65% of the U.S. is made in China...

MarkRacerX 06-08-2012 01:26 PM

Yikes!!

Yeah must not be major issue as I haven't seen any pics/posts about it. Otherwise be all over here by now.

I know, I have an issue with that... But my main issue is that an American "muscle" car has a Chinese tranny in it? That's like the Fox body Mustangs from the 80's having a tranny built in the Soviet Union.

DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT THE CAR ON THIS FORUM ANYMORE.

It will just feed the mustang trolls :/

bestwheelbase 06-08-2012 01:39 PM

Hello Jalopnik.

Let's keep in mind that this attention to detail is not a bad thing, it's the best thing! Most car companies just allow lousy panel gaps and pass it off as acceptable. Details! Details!

Natheria 06-08-2012 01:39 PM

Crazy thing is, most of their infos bout FR-S/BRZ were/are/will be from here ;)

Mitch 06-08-2012 02:03 PM

I saw an FRS this past weekend with condensation in the passenger side taillight. Eek.

Kimsey47 06-08-2012 02:06 PM

Seeing where they got the info is why I posted it... I have saw the tail light issue like 2-3 times but nothing more!

russv 06-08-2012 02:08 PM

I've notice that the gap between the fender and A pillar is wider on the right than on the left, about 2mm.

rbrtndrws 06-08-2012 02:43 PM

At least they credited me for the photo. :D

ICantAffordAnLFA 06-08-2012 02:55 PM

No car is perfect

Porsche; rear main seal
BMW; vanos
GTR; bell housing / transfer box, plus misty headlights

Jalopnik clearly have no news and I've never had any bother with a Subaru. Toyota on the other hand.......

An American muscle car should not have a Chinese tranny!
