I saw a similar thread on the corvette forums and I thought it was a neat idea. Thanks Corvette C7 forums for coming up with the idea for the thread.

I think it would be really neat to see where everyone is from.

Here is the instructions for adding your marker on the map (taken directly from the C7 forum)

INSTRUCTION FOR ADDING A MARKER TO THE MAP

- On the upper left tabs, select "Add Marker - Simple." An "Add Entry" box will appear.

- Enter information in the "Entry Name" field such as the model year of your FRS/BRZ, color, trim level, and coupe or convertible. You can also select the color of your marker here, allowing you to make your marker the color of your FRS/BRZ.

- Then either enter a specific location (City and State) or zoom to the location that you want to mark on the map.

- If you entered information in the "Location" field, click the "Preview" button to make sure the marker is where you want it. If it is, click the "Submit" button.

- If you zoom to the specific location that you want to mark, click on the "Click on a map location" hyperlink. A "Click on map to select location will appear. Click "OK" and then single click on your location and a marker will appear. Finally, click the "Submit" button to post your marker.

I added mine for fun. Although now tcoat knows were to find me.. I better go back into hiding.. :scared0016:

but, i am really jealous of where you live. so close to the mountains and the ocean, where its always warm and sunny. its so cold in michigan, where the roads are shitty and straight, and my car is stored in the garage until march or april. :cry:

it isn't all that great though :( You got traffic, traffic and more traffic everyday. It's really hard to be able to accelerate to 60 on the freeway when you can only go 15 :cry:

and I washed/waxed my car last week only to have it rain yesterday -_-
but I guess it's better than snow :(

and I'm not going to lie, the mountains and the ocean are great :thumbup:

I am said coward. Sorry no chances, although my friends in real life that browse the forums may realize what my username is if they plan to add their location to this map and read this post.

Tcoat, thats me in detroit, its ironic that i started this map and I didnt know how to put my name on there. LOL:)

I also for some reason thought u were from LONDON, UK. I didnt know we were so close to eachother ;)

I work in Windsor twice a week and was in Livonia this morning and will be in Utica next Tuesday so even closer then you think!

Wow, beautiful RX-7. My garage is very similar, a firestorm FRS and a midnight green/bluish FD RX-7 (stock!). The difference is I dont own the RX-7 (Roommates), great car!

@Tcoat there was a map earlier but I think it may have been 1st86 only, or it went no where. I tried searching for it for about two seconds but couldn't find it.

I thought there was! I couldn't find it either but that could just be due to a weird thread name or something. Half the people on it are probably gone now anyway so an update is cool!

I am kind of bummed that I didnt notice you could change the marker color.. Now my whiteout is red :(

You could delete it. Not sure if you can after a period of time but that's what I added mine by mistake without changing the marker color on my phone. Doing the marker on the computer was much better though, it gives you a link to edit it later.

I was surprised too. lol Candle is literally candle, but tree and cloud is not really tree and cloud. :(

I know, but I feel special right now. I am 4th in California, 3rd in South California, 2nd in Los Angeles County, 1st in my city. lol :D
