If I want many wheels? + Serious question

If I want many wheels could I buy 4 different wheels and mount them on my car will you call me ridiculous ;)?

FR: AG 310
FL: RS05RR
RR: GramLight 57xtreme
RL: Forgestar 14

:bonk:

Serious Question:
Anyone did a fender roll using 18x8.5 wheels in the offset ranging from 30-45? Any rubbing issues from the same offset range using 245/35r18 tires?

I hope I don't get banned for joking around once and making the community laugh.. I hope I make you all laugh :D

Porcupint 01-26-2015 12:34 AM

Do it.

Mikeez 01-26-2015 01:27 AM

Hahahaa ;). I will actually do it one day in the summer, I will borrow my friends' wheel!

dobbrz 01-26-2015 02:46 AM

Wes 01-26-2015 02:52 AM

You won't need to roll fenders using wheels in that offset range.

In for pics

jayhoang 01-26-2015 02:05 PM

Just a thought - but wouldn't you mess up the rolling geometry of the car by having a wheel with a different weight on each corner?
Unless of course wheel weights counteract that...

You're right =p, though.. It's only for looks just for a laugh. However, I choose the wheels that are closely related to each other in weight (from what I've collected)

swarb 01-26-2015 02:22 PM

^moment of inertia will still be off. Can't fix that with any weight.
Who wants to bet the op will get none of those? Might as well get 4 different xxr's.

OP is obviously joking and I for one am glad to see it!!!!!!!

On the subject, I had 4 different sized rims with 4 different tires on an old van I owned (long, long story but short version was dirt broke) and let me assure you there is nothing fun about driving that way!

swarb 01-26-2015 02:48 PM

People get pairs, fronts/rears, and sometimes lefts/rights when different colors. Trying to be funny while talking about something you can't even do is well,, useless without pics!!(or money)

Our forum already has enough clutter from trolls and dumb posts like this, we don't need more. Post in the off topic forum.

So he opened with a joke and then asked his real question.

1. title has nothing to do with the question.
2. question can be answered with a search.
3. we have a wheel fitment sticky.
4. he has asked a similar question more than once before and got answers.
5. he asks questions, gets answers and NEVER buys anything.
6. its a joke, yet he continues to troll and it puts his "serious" question off topic.

This is another reason for mods to not moderate. People post stuff like this while they know the rules and other members who know the rules play along. Thus adding to the wealth of useless information. :sigh:

Poor guy can't catch a break!
He asks a serious question he get ragged on.
Try's to make a joke, he gets ragged on.
At least he has lightened up from his prior tense nature.

Oh, then you must just thoroughly despise me and my ilk that feel the social (well quasi social) aspects are as important as the technical on here!

Be a blast if every single thread was:
"I have x question"
"here is your answer"
"thanks" (end of thread)

There is the option of not reading further then his question and moving on if it offends your sense of order so much.

swarb 01-26-2015 03:42 PM

Poor guy? LOL, more like poor future of the world(or ft86club.com).
You don't ask a serious question and begin with a joke. Do you expect to be treated seriously?

Discussions are fine, but his "serious" question is/has been easily answered many times. No rubbing at those offsets/widths/tires at stock height.

Being witty or funny is one thing. Trying too hard is another. The former usually comes with experience and age. Respect.

1. Use it.
2. You sound like a monkey that didn't get his banana.
3. No matter how big the thread is, it's different for many people.
4. Different wheels, different set ups. Read #3 again.
5. None of your business, I will ask a question everyday.
6. Serious question is fender rolling, thats wheels and tire you stupid monkey.

Let me guess, you're single? No girls every wanted to look or talk to you. Am I right :)? Apperently, Darwin Evolution worked the other way around for you kid.
Get lost.

1. use what?
2. so you got yours? did you get wheels too?
3. its not any different. anyone with money can buy those wheels. too bad you don't have the money.
4. how is it different? those wheels aren't ONE OF A KIND.
5. none of my business? LOL don't post a public forum then. See you tomorrow.
6. fender rolling is not needed. no need to call me names eh.

"engineering student" and you're the one calling me kid? :bonk:
p.s. It's spelled "apparently" and it's called Darwinism.
