Thread title says it. Looking to trade or sell my Colin/TYC Taillights, zero issues with them. Plug and pay install. Just going for a different look. :thanks:
Will take $260 for them if you are interested in purchasing them. |
It'd probably be best if you noted what you'd like to trade for! Good luck

As is stated in the sellers original thread, there wasn't supposed to be anything wrong with them. This proved to not be true.
Upon receiving the taillights there was scuffs all around the edges and one of the lights had a very long scratch on the face of it which span pretty much the whole light, although not deep the scratch is still very much visable. The gaskets are ripped around the bolts, rendering them useless, once again the seller claimed these were fine. There is also debris on the inside of the taillights, which should be able to be blown out but not sure. I'm now worried the taillights won't function properly with everything else that is wrong or that the seller forgot to mention. The taillights I sent him were nowhere near in the condition of the ones he sent me were, and I was very upfront with all the imperfections that my taillights had, which was some minor scratches at the top of one of them. My gaskets were in perfect reusable condition, and they looked near brand new. Overall not pleased with the condition of the lights that I bought from him and even more upset because he was not upfront about the damage and debris, and because he continued to reassure me that nothing was wrong with them. |

How was the shipping box when you got it? How much money did you send him? And most important question have you contacted him prior to posting this ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I was upfront about the condition of my taillights and he got exactly what I told him I was sending, I on the other hand did not. I sent him an amount that the seller agreed to, diddnt low ball him, I even sent him extra to cover the paypal fees. Now he says that he's going to leave me negative feedback because I left him negative feedback, ok, and he claims my taillights have condensation in them when they weren't even on my car, they were a spare set I bought from another member which have been in storage since the day I received them in the mail. The first time I took them out was to send this seller photos of them. So now hes making stuff up that I sent him taillights with condensation, when they were kept in a box wrapped in foam and paper until this last week. |

Just got off the phone with the buyer. After specifically mentioning in my original post I said I did not want tails that had condensation issues. Buyer said there were no issues of the sort.As well as the huge scratch mark on the right tail. (Looks like someone took a screw driver to it. Which is odd because the buyer claims there were in storage, in a box).
I was not going to make it a big deal because it is not much, but it is there. Apparently the buyer thought he was getting unused brand new taillights without any signs of usage. 1. Buyer is complaining about normal wear and tear on the taillights that are used on a daily basis. Possible scuff and minor scratch marks from washes and NY winter. 2. At no point did I tell this buy he was buying brand new taillights like he wanted to believe. As far as I am concerned there is nothing wrong with the lights. Had there been any big issues I would have told the buyer up front, but there were none. 3. Buyer also approved the tails via pictures I sent before shipping them. 4. These aftermarket tails did not come with gaskets, nor did I need them because I had saved my factory ones. So I had put my gaskets from my factory tails on these. The only way to get them off is to pull the adhesive. I never had a condensation or leaking issues with them whats so ever. Here are the exact images I sent to the buyer before he gave me the ok for the trade. |
Those are the exact pictures you sent me and I never expected to get new taillights, the reason behind my frustration is that the scratches and swirl marks aren't reflected in the pictures you sent me, and aren't very visable in any picture you can take. You have to see them in person to notice them, and Im not referring to sticking them up close to your face.
Scuff marks are very apparent becuase clearly it looks dull where it is scuffed, unlike the rest of the taillights which are glossy. You said you wiped the taillights down prior to sending them, with what, fine sand paper? Because that would expalin why they are covered in swirl marks. You can even see in the pics you posted where the gasket is torn from the bolt holes. Definitely a lot higher quality then pics I got on my phone. I'm not asking for anything back but I did want to make everyone else aware that you were not upfront about the condition of the product you were selling, had you been honest about the scratches and scuffs this wouldn't have happened and you probably would've gotten a positive rating. After all it was you who said nothing was wrong with them. |
