ichitaka05 06-06-2012 08:05 PM

Now you need corner lights, taillights, & headlights & you're all set for exterior

86_ZN6 06-06-2012 08:07 PM

Looks good!

Using stock wheels?

Youll need te toyota center caps too

TuxedoCartman 06-06-2012 08:10 PM

Jay Grey 06-06-2012 08:13 PM

It looks nice! Seems like everyone is in the process of changing their badges huh?

RRnold 06-06-2012 08:30 PM

All it's missing are the fog lights but other than that, perfect!! :happy0180:

Rejor11 06-06-2012 08:36 PM

I plan to buy new rims for mine as well as toyota badges, but I'm not sure if I want to just badge the front or do both front and rear. Guess I"ll do front first and run with that for a while.

oldskule 06-06-2012 09:19 PM

Looks much better!

And that second pic... DAT ASSphalt :party0030:

nix 06-06-2012 10:04 PM

So, you guys don't like having your own brand?

It's not that I don't like scion. I just truly believe the FR-S should be delivered to the United States as a Toyota GT86 like every other country. Toyota has racing in it's blood and badging it as a Scion in America is kinda rude imo.

I want to do a full GT86 conversion, but that would just be rediculously expensive. May wait a few years for parts to become cheaper.

Fair enough. I don't think anyone on this side of the pond will be rushing to rebadge to scion. :)

Looks clean good job.

The JDM/RoW spec lights lack the red side-reflector portion of US-spec taillights.

Check the DIY section of the site! ;)

ihaskrayon 06-07-2012 01:38 AM

If you were planning on getting gold wheels I'd suggest gold Toyota badges. (Even though I hate gold) Looks much better though

nix 06-07-2012 03:48 AM

Black colours tended to get gold badges on JDM runs, in most cars over the last few decades. Agreed goes nicely with something like gold centered volks.

Hanakuso 06-07-2012 01:02 PM

I like it, where do you get the badges from? I know about the toyota one but what about the GT86 or wheel badges and steering wheel cover?

Calidrifter 06-10-2012 03:43 PM

is that a clear reflector on the JDM one?

Subie 06-10-2012 03:53 PM

Toyota REALLY cheapened the look of the 86 for the US market. :( Some of it was necessary to meet DOT regulations or their target price point, but some of it was just in poor taste (like the heavy use of chrome accents vs. black).

chrome accents? where?

LeavingNormal 06-10-2012 05:07 PM

Cool and all but sometimes i think this is entirely too much work and money just cause some people don't like Scion. I was considering this at first too, but then i learned to embrace it, and save my pennies for more awesome things.
