New Need for Speed Trailer..... FR-S/BRZ Represented in a big way

First post.

New Need for Speed game (mobile only).

The game looks like a mobile only game and graphics look kind of s---ty but the FR-S/BRZ is represented in a big way in the trailer.

Forget video games, a lot of us are doing this stuff in real life (the modding that is, not so much the driving into oncoming traffic lol).

And that is how you get 303 MPH out of an FRS!

The twins have been blowing up everywhere, at my school I saw 4 FR-S/BRZ

GO TO ANOTHER SCHOOL

Sell your car get it impounded why did you buy it

Does anybody else just hate seeing so much FR-S/BRZ, or is it just me with this inner feeling.
I mean yeah congratulations, can you please go someplace else where I'm the only one driving this car.

Even though this has nothing to do with this I just got to add that I hate prius so much. That I want to buy a prius

Completely understand. 1 guy at my school owns a Blue BRZ. Another one has a silver FRS. I'm the guy with the SWP BRZ with the modded exhaust system, and the only one on the lot with a manual transmission. [Doh!]

Really? In my city Twins are super rare, I have almost never seen another Twin. I have owned my car for almost 3 weeks and I have yet to encountered another Twin while driving my FR-S. In fact in about the last 3-4 months I think I saw an actual Twin on the road maybe once or twice. I have actually seen more GT-R's on the roads than Twins. And it seems everyone and their grandmother has a later model Mustang, I see them everywhere.

And my town isn't some small hick town either. I live in Pearland Texas. Population of 100,000 and within 10 miles from Houston (which has a population of over 4 million).

Loetke 01-08-2015 02:09 PM

It's annoying because I have seen exactly 0 twins while driving my FR-S, but I've seen quite a few while driving my Jeep.

Hey Squady it is OK you don't need to flame yourself there are people that will do that for you

I do know what you mean though. The Twins are still pretty rare right around here.
I had one of the very first yellow Rally Lancers brought into Canada and it turned heads every second I drove it for the first year and a bit. By the end of the second year you couldn't walk through a parking lot without tripping over 2 or 3.

NWFRS 01-08-2015 02:30 PM

The twins are everywhere in NW Washington.

I probably see two every day in my thirty minutes on the road, NOT including my neighbor's white FR-S.

Doesn't bother me one bit. I bought the car for my own driving pleasure. Anyway, I bet mine will be the cleanest one still on the road in ten years. They were relatively cheap when new, and the used ones will attract boy racers like flies. I bet it will be like trying to find a clean S2000 or Corrado in twenty years time. :-/

Yea I understand that feeling but you just got to mod yours and make it standout and show your style. So then there may be 4 brz/frs on campus but only badass one.

You know how people say they don't want to own a Scion?

This thread is why.

I quoted the ones that stood out to me below, general childishness, a sense of "gotta mawd and be cool and stand out and have people look at me and win stoplight races and what mods can I do for $100? and oh-em-gee people keep asking what it is so annoying/cool/stupid, this guy in my school parking lot keeps making fun of me with his v6 mustang"

Not saying it's a valid sentiment (pretty stupid imo, it's a machine not a lifestyle choice) just that this thread is a shining example of the stereotypical "Scion enthusiast".

Ok now I gotcha!
Got to remember that it is the younger guys that are going to post on a video game thread.
I probably would have said the same thing back when I was that age. Mind you it would have how big my back tires were compared to my front and how the airbrushed flames came out just right. I would also have had to send it into the letters section of a magazine so it would have been a lot slower!!!!

continuecrushing 01-08-2015 06:08 PM

why would someone film me driving to work, and then post it on youtube saying its a new game coming out?

Ah part 2 of the annoying enthusiast mentality: the superiority complex.

I competed in my first motorsport race a decade ago, I've been to shows and meets and watched hundreds of hours of documentaries, no need to lecture me on 'lifestyles', I just want to have fun in my machine and I'm glad you've found a way to do it too.

Do you guys really care if you're not the only one with a twin in town? It makes me kind of happy seeing some driving around, like a "hey buddy" kind of feel.

I would love to see another while I was driving mine! So far the 5 I have seen were pretty much always while driving my wife's car or were parked with nobody around.
Now that could change if I saw 3 or 4 every day.

Wise 01-08-2015 07:33 PM

Need for Speed has sucked for a long time. Underground 2 and Carbon were the last decent games.

These days the only thing significant about NFS is that they're the reason why we don't see Porsches in good racing games like Forza and Gran Turismo.

I think Forza is the best balanced racing game. You can sim race around the laser scanned tracks or you can build fantasy cars like a Mazda RX3 with a 20B Turbo, or a 2000GT with a 2JZ, or a GT86 with a V8 Twin turbo. Something for everybody.

Theres about 7 or so (that I've seen) FRS's/BRZ's in my town, and I fortunately know 2 of them. A little wave is exchanged if I do see one of them though! Interesting to see that they're all automatics, which is strange as they're all owned by college students and our city doesn't have extreme inclines or stop and go traffic. I'm currently learning to get better on mine, and getting better everytime I drive it (I think, hopefully lol). Only trouble I experience is putting the car back into gear while rolling slightly (put it into neutral, still rolling slightly, red light turned green, now what). Oh well, practice makes perfect I guess.

There's thousands of 86's and BRZ's in the city where I live. It's a really popular car in Australia.

I don't mind it one bit. I like seeing other cars on the road. It's interesting to see the modifications that others have done.

Vancouver BC or Wash? If BC a whole shit load more then 7 and if Wash just find that Ultramaroon guy and he will give you MT lessons!
You are right it gets easier with practice. I have been driving MT for 40 years and give shifting no more conscious thought then I do steering or braking. It just sort of ...happens.

Sorry, not in Vancouver. In a small city nearby, but did not want to disclose location. Hopefully I reach that level of consistency with the MT.

I definitely agree after Need for Speed Most Wanted for playstation 2 Need for Speed went down hill for me. Forza Horizon 2 is like what need for speed used to be plus more just wish they could get porsches back!

The one and only racing game I ever played where I didn't get my ass handed to me by a 8 year old!

It's depressing when I expect a wave and all they do is either give me a funny look or purposely ignore me. Out of 8+ encounters with the driver seeing me, only one of them has resulted in a positive response...the only male dare I say it.

On the other hand the one positive response was REALLY positive. Even his female-friend pitched in if I remember correctly.:happyanim:

Not saying it's a valid sentiment (pretty stupid imo, it's a machine not a lifestyle choice) just that this thread is a shining example of the stereotypical "Scion enthusiast".

My modded exhaust system came with my used car, and it does sound to my liking (a.k.a) not too loud. No other exterior changes were made (unless you include the clear Bra and the 50% tinted windows). I will confess that many students at my school do think I have the best sports car on the lot, but they typically attribute the reason to being that mine is the sole "manual" sports car on the lot, even winning their hearts over the v8 Mustangs and Porsches ("YES!"...I know, I know, superiority thing-a-ma-jigger).

I've seen Scion owners who attempt to portray their car as being much better than it really is with sub-par components, but as I'm sure you know, nearly every manufacture has "those" consumers. I'm sure you have a reason for singling out Scion owners. Maybe you've been active in Scion forums before. Dunno.

I probably have the same reasoning for writing this post as you did with yours, as in I don't really expect this reply to mean much to anyone, I just needed to kinda...say it.
