Go-Karting: 401 Mini Indy all you can race - Jan 7
 

To give us something to do as winter sets in and to meet FT86 members new and old!

Please post below if you would like to join. Price is $30 (if you register online, you get a $10 coupon).

We will work out additional details as people RSVP (if we will dinner before hand, when to show up, etc.)

Some quick notes:

-Gas karts, fairly quick
-If it's busy, it's usually one race every 30-40 minutes
-If you have your own helmet, I suggest you bring one

Event runs from 6-11, check-in on by posting on this thread when you arrive so you can find fellow members

It runs 6-11, we can decide in a meet time when we get a bit more interest.

I'm up for all 5 hours. Nothing else to do on Wednesday anyway(it's my day off)

We'll see. I also have to get up at 6:30 on Thursday so want to get my Z's in.

I'll keep tabs on this post and will decide closer to the date.

Plus, there are guys in the general discussion post (kazuya, canehda) who seemed like wanted to come that aren't here so if we are only doing this when we have enough people we need to get them here to sign up then

By the way, the coupon they sent me for registering expired Dec 31, 2014. Don't think that $10 applies anymore...

Last I remember there's no head count that's really needed for this event. Whoever wants can join. No restrictions...
So, You can definitely bring your friends along. It's just the entry fee they need to look into.

Today a bunch of us from the Toronto Subaru club had a gokart day at grand Prix kartways. There is a groupon going for $30 for all you can race for 6 hours! They are electric carts but they are still pretty quick, they have up to 20hp if you sweet talk the owner

Used to go there all the time. Never got to use the full power but last time I was there, I got in the mid 20 second range. I'm sure the karts would be a lot more fun with extra horses though :)

I just had a conversation with them earlier today as a group prize.
His response was not as friendly as I was expecting it'll be.

With food 85$ for 6 hours.
Without food 65$ for 6 hours.
(per head)

This Wednesday and next Wednesday is booked. Only other days can be booked.

So the 30 bucks is not real?

Every wednesday is $30 - I believe @ThreeZzZ was getting quotes for private parties.

If we had the place to ourselves for 6 hours I'd be down for 65$ though just so that we could control who races who. I don't want to sound like an @ss but my biggest pet peave with racing in general are the moving chicanes that ruin good races between the faster drivers :(

So if we just show up (no appointment or booking) its $30/person, but we have to share the course with other customers.
If we want the place to ourselves, its $65/person ($85/person with food)?
