FR-S or 370z?
Asides what's under the hood, which has the better look?
I'm very picky and cannot decide.

You're on a forum that is dedicated to the twins. Im going to assure you that most of the responses you get will be extremely biased.

With that said, of course the FRS looks better.

PS: I like 350 better then 370, on 370 line is everywhere..... It's like they got it halfway then call it done >.>

Regardless of what forum it is if you'll have to be an idiot to choose an FRS over a bugatti, ferrari or any car that obviously looks better. i'll still be unbiased and not pic the twin.. That being said.. i think the new Z's have ugly headlights.. the rear however i think looks better. I'll go with the FRS's front for this.

If the thread insults you get the hell out of here and shut your trap, with that in mind... we should use the space for more specs, actual problems or valuable information regarding the twins. The car you choose is entirely up to you, after all you're going to be paying for it, modding it.. taking picturse of it.

The only thing I think the forum wants to waste their time answering is which looks better? The FR-S or the BRZ?

And for that my vote is the FR-S.

I like the new 370's rear.. i'v owned two 350z's and always liked the rear of the new Z's better but the headlamps look obtrusive.. just me.. i like sleaker designs.

For HP I'll take the Bugatti Veyron. For looks I would take my FR-S. The Veyron is a hideous bloated monster. I also used to love the way the LFA looked until the FR-S came out. If I could get the engine and features of the LFA in my FR-S it would be a dream.

This is going to sound ricey, but the 370z is one of those cars that looks better with a whale-tail to balance out the high front hoodline.

The pre-facelift Nismo 370z's are the best looking IMO:

Agree, i've never liked the Bugatti.. just trying to be honest there tons of cars better looking and you can't really say you'll pick the FRS over anything. I actually traded an e92 m3 for my FRS and not really becuase of money issues simply because of how easy to mod, light, simple yet stunningly good looking.

I think the responses are exactly what are to be expected. When asking a question as subjective as what looks better then you are going to get some strong opinions. Two of the three cars you say "obviously" look better I think are butt ugly!

350Z looked decent (and arguably started the movement to bring back the Japanese RWD sportscar in the 21st century).
The new iterations get progressively less attractive.
As is expected from facelifts, the first iteration is always the most coherent design - the ones that follow always exhibit a "change for the sake of change" tendency.

I agree there are plenty of better looking cars out there.

My top pick would have to be the Saleen S7.

Not necessary just for the sake of change but they don't always take the face lifts far enough. So this year big bulbous headlights are popular but it is to late to change next years models so lets add them to the changes we are planning for 3 years down the road. Opps they are not popular anymore? Well it is a good thing we didn't change the rest of the body to match them!!! The longer the life of a car the more these one off changes add up until the overall original effect is ruined.

I love both cars, however when they are side by side I'm leaning a little more towards the FRS because it's smaller. Not a fan of large sports cars. Same thing can be said about GTR R35.

I love it when it's alone, but when it's beside cars it looks too big

I'm assuming they got pretty far with the Shark fin antenna and flush exhaust tips

Personally not a huge fan of the Bugatti's design. I mean I would totally own one if I could but compared to other super cars it visually doesn't turn me on nearly as much

Love the looks of the 86 right when I saw it I knew I wanted it, then I drove it & I really wanted it.

I'm in the minority in saying the 370z looks better but by slightest of margins. Good lord though, why is the Z so much bigger than the twins? And so much heavier too for that matter. I was amazed at that side by side pic someone posted.

And that's a perfect example of how this whole discussion is subjective. I'm not a big fan of the Bugatti (to me it looks a like a touring sedan someone lowered and riced up to make it cool), and the Saleen S7 to me looks like a bad kit car from the 80's that had a little better fit and finish paid to it.

I would take the below over either of those cars, even if handed to me, but again, looks are totally subjective, so to each his or her own I say.

To answer the OP question, the FR-S is better looking than the Z in the photo, but it would be a tight race if they had stuck to the 240Z shape and updated it rather than turning it into a bloated whale of a car over time.

Bloated whale seems to be the direction they always feel they have to go in for some weird reason.
Guess we know what the 3rd gen FRS will turn into!
