DND Tall Can Motorsport Shift Knob
Introducing a new shift knob we now carry. This shift knob is track inspired & weighed. Comes in a strong/sturdy/solid design.
Works great on stock shifter and short shifter. The knob weighs in at 1kg/2.2lbs which helps with shifting.
The tall construction also helps with keeping the shifter closer to steering wheel resulting in more time in control of the steering wheel & car.

  • These are CNC machined in the USA using SUS303 Stainless Steel
  • 170mm in length
  • weigh 1kg.
  • feature 70mm of knurling for extra grip while wearing gloves
  • top weighted for clean, effortless throw

We will be sharing more pictures here of these shift knobs on the BRZ/FRS as we get more installed :)

Maybe it would look better if they posted a picture of it installed on something that wasn't ratchet?

im personally not a fan

Superhatch 12-20-2014 10:59 AM

Is this a joke?

I just can NOT believe that this is a serious product.

It takes me right back to high school metal shop-watching my classmates turn what they thought were attractive shift knobs from soft aluminum, usually with knurling somewhere on them, with no consideration for how they matched the existing lever profile.

Epic aesthetic fail. :-/

This is worlds better than the inverted hilt of a fake samurai sword...

blue cat 12-21-2014 02:16 AM

Wow she's a heavy one

jay1989 12-21-2014 02:47 AM

You all do realize this is a drift stick\track knob right? The goal is to get the knob as close to the wheel in height\distance as possible. It's not supposed to look small and smooth and good. It's functional.

@JonMotoring can you please PM me I have a few questions thanks

Yes, but I'd hate to have to try to hit reverse in that car.

Also, a longer lever doesn't need weight. It's only going to wear the shift forks.

Deleted due to incorrect comparison on my part.

It's just an extender. You completely change the throw and pivot point of the assembly when you only extend the knob.

I'm assuming this is a typo. When you extend the knob you increase throws, pointless unless you also change the pivot point (which you can't do with just a long knob).

tahdizzle 12-24-2014 06:34 PM

heheh. Lots of Knobs in this thread.

Sorry, I was thinking ratio, not pivot point. Also the Fastline piece is really an extender / short shifter in one package. Due to the configuration of our shifter assembly vs. the one I described earlier there really isn't any direct comparison, and my points aren't really that valid. Gonna delete my previous post. I do however still think it looks like a mag light. :P
