classic soft trim in hayward or coach automotive in union city. Both do a ton of dealership work. Both get top reviews. I'm going to check out soft trim for heated and ventilated seats. Other shops are usually hotrod oriented.

how do you get a sunroof to work with the lines of the roof?

EAGLE5 12-11-2014 04:10 AM

i havent seen a car with one. it would be a lot of work and will hurt the handling.

yeah ive seen ONE car with it. cant find the picture but it was a red gt86

and it was pretty sweet..

and i know leaky roofs are common with this, thats why i need a GOOD place. I'm not looking to save money for this project. I'll pay top $ if it means itll be done right honestly.

edit: found it, some random fr-s

It'll probably leak eventually, even with a really good place. Time to buy a Miata.

EAGLE5 12-11-2014 03:36 PM

Seriously, though, call the two shops I listed. They both do tons of work for dealerships.

+1 coach automotive. they reupholstered one of my previous cars, also did a sunroof for my coworker. he went through his dealer to add the sun roof prior to the purchase so we went to see coach's operation for ourselves first. they were very welcoming and the operation looked fine. many years later so far no issues.
