Do you include installation instructions with them?

wootwoot 12-04-2014 10:20 PM

Will all the factory skid plates still work? Any pics of them installed?

+1

trying to imagine how / where these bolt up to the car

vividracing 12-05-2014 01:52 PM

We are doing an install today on an FRS, stay tuned for pictures, info and instructions!

NissanGuy 12-06-2014 03:39 AM

I'm gonna guess:

Front subframe/rack brace
Left and right rear subframe triangulation bars
rear strut bar
trunk cage, upper half
front control arm front bushing support
trunk cage, lower half

What do I win?

Probably not much as there aren't rear struts so a rear strut tower bar won't work.

bagman 12-10-2014 09:22 PM

any pics of the install yet or a dyi post?

vividracing 12-15-2014 01:46 PM

Hi guys, apologies about the delay, I was out for surgery, but the guys at Agency Power have been busy getting this kit set up. Step by step install instructions are being made currently. As for the splash guards, the rear fits without issue, the front shield requires (2) 10mm spacers, and (2) longer bolts to re fit.

Now onto the visual porn!!

Will it be sold in pieces? Or only as a kit?

slicktop 12-15-2014 11:41 PM

In for reviews

vividracing 12-16-2014 04:12 PM

It Is sold as a complete kit only, as it is optimized to work best with all braces working together. The front strut tower brace is the only part sold individually, and not included in the kit.

blown 12-16-2014 05:30 PM

cost on kit?

vividracing 12-17-2014 12:06 PM

the kit is listed at $599.99 but i can knock the price down a bit for forum members and get you sorted ASAP. These are available and in stock!

That's what I thought. They just copied it and painted them red.

vividracing 12-24-2014 02:01 PM

The chassis brace kit is not a repainted Tom's kit or knock off. It was designed in house at AP to optimize the vehicle chassis, and structural points on the chassis. Hanakuso as I recall you saying awhile back in a previous thread, you stated that the TOMS KIT's "bracing on the bottom look similar to others." There isnt much design differences allowed in such kits, which looking at chassis diagrams it is very clear whey. The AP kit is competitively priced, and also immediately available here in the US. Cheers!

True about under bracing but correct me if i'm wrong, the rear trunk/strut brace looks like an exact copy of the Tom's.

Actually I think the old saying is "There's more than one way to skin a cat"....
It seems these two companies have found the EXACT same way though... Hmm.

What is weight of all parts?
Do you have any proof that these actually works?
Thanks.

Pekingduck 01-03-2015 09:49 PM

It probably came from the same factory that Tom's buy their from

Sugi 01-03-2015 11:56 PM

Very interested. I would like to know the weight? Price for members?

Snowblind 01-07-2015 08:49 PM

PM me with price shipped if you'll sell the trunk brace separately. I already have the TRD member braces for underneath.

vividracing 01-08-2015 03:42 PM

Final weight is 24lbs for the complete kit, and an additional 10% off for forum members! PM me!

RD1428 01-15-2015 01:10 AM

Can you clarify what you mean by this? Are you saying something like this is completely useless? http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Mode...ategory_2/4574

the frs does not have rear struts. the shocks in the rear of the car are not weight bearing. look up the difference between a shock and a strut and it should make more sense.

Rear "strut" brace is a mis-nomer as there are no rear struts on the 86/FR-S/BRZ. The floor section between the top suspension mounts make a brace redundant. There are no towers to be supported.

What it will do is encroach into your rear cargo space and possibly necessitate the use of a space saver spare wheel.
