Holiday Decorations?

Hey all,

It's getting close to that time of year again. Does anyone dress up the twins with some festive decorations? If so, how do you do it without harming the paint?

I'm in the mood to have some cheesy holiday stuff on my car this year, but I don't want to ruin the paint.

Obja 11-10-2014 11:54 AM

strap a Christmas tree to the roof and call it a day

It'd be just the branches after a couple of weeks :bellyroll:

Maybe I can get a few Smart cars to pull me around, like a sleigh...

fika84 11-10-2014 12:27 PM

I'm sure someone could get a pack of huskies to pull this car in neutral...

Maybe change out all the clear bulbs for some green LEDs.....

MokSpeed 11-10-2014 03:10 PM

Never tried reindeer antlers on a car with frameless windows. Don't play on trying on the FR-S either. Maybe on the Lexus. :D

daiheadjai 11-10-2014 03:28 PM

Reindeer blood splatters on the hood... Bits of antler from the grille

MomHawk has a set she uses on her '05 Mustang convertible. She puts them on the back window which rakes them backwards about 30 degrees for speed!

I should put some mistletoe down there...

Also, I found out my decoration! I was shopping and saw these at Target. 8$, battery powered. Some electrical tape to hold them down, and I'm all set!

How so? Because it's a color the police use?

I have a similar setup with small LEDs that change color and plug into the USB.

It could be questionable with the light color / brightness, but it's less bright than the Rev lights so I don't think it'll be too much trouble. Also I rarely drive late at night, so people will see it's an FR-S and not a cop car.

And why would it warrant a ticket? I doubt it would be considered diatracting.

Just our laws. Can not have any coloured lights in the windows at all.
The back one should never be red anyway as it could look like a brake light. I know it isn't that bright but still a red light.

Not here. Have no clue about California. Just drive around and if you get pulled over come up with a good excuse.

I figure he only turns these lights on when parked. Shouldn't be a problem.
