Am I the only one that feels bothered by this (R.S 1.0)

That's the whole reason I didn't get one. Completely ruined it for me

the R.S. 1.0 just sucks in general lolz.....

It was the first thing that made me kind of scrunch my face up when I saw pictures of the RS for the first time.

I saw one parked on the street the other day and snapped a picture of it -

I don't care for the kit in general (I think the new shark fin looks like a toy sailboat turned upside-down), but the part you pointed out has always bothered me the most - it just makes the car look like it had the kit blatantly slapped on after it was made, instead of being streamlined with the rest of the body and well-fitted like the kit for the GT 86.

I have looked at many, many pics and to tell you the truth I never even noticed it before.
I actually sort of like it where the points come up at the top sides as seen in Ammunition's pic.

I think they purposely left it like that so its easier to put in fog lights. If it was a close fit like the JDM one or other lip kits like the Five Axis one the dealer would have to remove the lip then place the fogs.

I reckon the car would look better if you were to remove the body kit completely. Ive never been a fan of the TRD front lip. That yellow paint is nice though.

the only reason the RS 1.0 bugs me is because 9/10 people are like:

"Ermahgerd the RS 1.0!!!!! Its so amazing!!!!"

Maybe it comes with stuff you would replace but I certainly fail to see where 9/10 of the actual owners said they are ripping anything out.
I have many TRD parts on my car and my panties are all in one piece thank you very much. Again, not sure where you get that people that prefer the TRD parts are screaming about them or suddenly become "fanboys" because they like or recommend them. The same could be said for anybody that really likes any other parts.


Now I do agree with pulling the parts out of special edition BRZs as that does seem a tad silly.

Plastidip, and 5 minutes.... Yeah, yellow, the only color, shows the little line. I like it all black. Easy to change....

I just think the fit and finish on the jdm body kit has more attention to details, the body kit looks like what would be a Chinese rip off of the JDM TRD kit,

the RS 1.0 and scion still bothers me, "limited editions + pure pricing " every 6 months only to f#^& over the previous limited editions, And dont get me started on the NAMING of this vehicle. but don't mind me that's none of my business, i'm just sitting here waiting for someone to sell their TRD shift knob and steering wheel :lol:

I'm totally not digging the yellow at all, Anyone willing to dip/wrap/paint their RS1.0?

Where did Scion say that the Series 10, Monogram, or RS1.0 were going to be the last of the special editions? With Scion's history of doing a special edition every year, only a naive person would feel "f#^&ed over" by thinking they were getting the only special edition. The name "series" even implies that there will be more!

The RS is too loud for what I would personally buy, but I do like it. My 2 year old daughter loves my father in law's yellow FJ, so maybe I should have gotten the yellow.
