I heard Evasive Motorsports is really good.

8R6 11-04-2014 04:31 PM

Evasive if you're out in the 626 area.
Fuzion Technique if you're out in the 310/213 area.

damn i remember eurocode. dave used to tune my old b6 a4 before i got rid of it :(

DAEMANO 11-04-2014 04:49 PM

@WRB5titch and I have taken our '86s to Lang Racing in Irvine for alignments. They're not '86 specialists (BMW is their specialty), but it is one heck of a shop.

Powersfrs 11-04-2014 05:57 PM

Evasive is the shop I go to for everything mechanical, installation maintenance and parts
Delicious tuning I went to for my tune

Deagle50 11-04-2014 06:02 PM

Evasive is on the pricier side but you get what you pay for, and their work is top notch. I think they were rated #9 on the top 20 shops in the US

robtan 11-04-2014 06:48 PM

I have been very pleased with the quality of work and prices from mod bargains.

midnight23 11-04-2014 08:12 PM

Evasive is the place to go. Don't skimp out on things with a brand new car.

TestaRossa 11-04-2014 11:31 PM

Go to Evasive, quality work and great mechanics. My go-to place for getting parts installed and their prices are actually really competitive comparing to other well-known shops here in SoCal.

Evasive sounds great. They are booked for the next couple of weeks though <_<. Any other shops that can do a dyno besides evasive and delicious?

JGalp 01-16-2015 10:06 AM

i keep hearing evasive a lot, but is there anyone in particular that knows about our cars that we can talk to? don't mean the mechanics but just one of the guys that works the front that i can learn from and talk to about how to build my car. the last guy i talked to (who was nice) but didn't know much about our cars. he knew about wheels in general but when i was asking more technical information about suspension and forced induction he really didn't know much. help! so far i have gotten very good feedback from david at CSG. may go with them instead

AUTOTUNED right by Irwindale speedway! Why? Because it was founded by one of the most influential members of the socal FRS community. If you don't recognize Young or Meng's car or any of their apparel/decals...you're not a real 86 enthusiast. They're exactly what you're looking for. Both own and track their twins, not to mention they're close with Forumla Drift drivers like Ken Gushi and Fredric Aasbo so you know they know how the 86 drives. As for cosmetics, they have Superstreet, FiveAD, and Scion themselves, + many more I can't name at the moment, backing them. Not sure if they can do dyno though, but they definitely do modifications/wraps/custom installs. It's a small shop where Young personally does like 90% of the work so you know it's good quality work. Best part? You can kick it and watch him work on your car unlike most other shops and just talk cars while you wait. That right there should be convincing enough. I'm sure a good amount of the southbay/86two6 mods have been heavily influenced by them.

Is anybody aware of a place I can use a lift for? I'd like to install my new headers by myself. I'm in the ktown/hollywood area. Thanks

Our proposed regional mod should create a master list sticky of shops in the area with name, address, number, & website...
