FRS RS 1.0 Part Numbers - Have these been posted yet?
If these have been posted already, sorry for the repost. If not, here you go!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psaf7ff14a.jpg **Thanks to J.G. in the local 86 Group for posting this** |
Its not been posted previously. Thank you
|
Those prices though...
|
I never could understand why someone would want to be a "Poser"...
If it's not a yellow FR-S it's like putting a "Ferrari Emblem" on a FR-S. My 2 cents. |
Ahhh yes, spending thousands of dollars to make the car slower :D

If you can post the other parts that would be great :) TRD shift knob Shifter bezel Rear spoiler (3 sections) |

Does that say 2800 for the steering wheel? No way...
|
Quote:
Nope fake is fake no matter how you look at it my opinion. It's like the people wanting a ferrari but they don't have the money to buy one so the slap a emblem on their FR-S we have all seen the photos. |
Quote:
For exemple: I could really love the rear spoiler and just buy this part for my car. I'm not fake, I just want this particular part from the RS 1.0. Anyway, to each its own :) |

Why is the Catback less than half the price of of the rear body kit? Who makes up these numbers at Toyota? Wow...
|
Fender garnish
$505 eachs??? And in yellow? Over $1,000 for some cool garnish... then one would have to paint-to-match.... That's gotta be about $300-$500.
Wow... they are very proud of their stuff... |
Quote:
So don't worry. Your car is still special and there wont be 1501 or whatever else out there. |
lmfao @ the $2800 steering wheel.
You can buy the same damn steering wheels on pro time attack/drift/etc. cars for $300-$350 a piece all damn day. Top quality Nardi, Sparco, etc.... |

Also, thanks for the parts number anyone know of a good TRD website for parts? Also the R.S. will be special, then they'll come out with another edition so dont get too comfy on that pedestal way up there  |

You will and should never be allowed to buy the TRD shift trim with the limited release number. Also, can anyone confirm if one can tell a RS from its VIN?
|
Quote:
Go do your homework it's a Scion Release Series 1.0 not a GT86 everyone on this forum will tell you this body kit isn't the same as the JDM 86 or Euro 86 kits so it's unique. These cars don't have the same body kit as the RS 1.0. http://i1011.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9b89b517.jpg http://www.importmonster.com.au/shop...8cf8100f1267e1 http://images.thecarconnection.com/l...00393458_l.jpg |
Is the RS1.0 TRD Quad different than the JDM Quad? Axleback or full catback?

Both the JDM TRD and TRD RS 1.0 exhaust systems are axleback and to answer your question yes they are different. The "TRD JDM" tips engraving is on the inside lips of the exhaust tips vs the "TRD RS 1.0" which is on the side of the tips. Plus the exhaust tips are a different style. http://pricinginsider.carsdirect.com...aust-close.jpg http://i1011.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8535be51.jpg |

This. They are all 86's. Although some people are willing to pay more to get something that's somewhat slower. |
Don't know about anyone else but I didn't buy the 86 because it is fast.

So much butthurt in this thread

FRS RS 1.0 Part Numbers - Have these been posted yet?
Quote:
Yup, I can look the VIN up and tell what options it had, in service date, warranty/recalls, etc. I'd like the wheel and shifter but that is way too much money. I'll find some JDM TRD bits when I'm in Japan in April. Sent from Tandy 400 |

Where's the butt hurt at..?? btw if you or anyone else thinks I get butt hurt feels about what anyone has to say on the webz your wrong. One of my friends posted this and it true of most keyboard warriors on the web. Quote: Some people admire things they can't get, but others turn to hate them instead... I'm just tired of people wanting parts they shouldn't have and not being happy with the cars they own. With so much hate post about the FR-S RS 1.0 you wouldn't even think these threads would have been made just my opinion. With that said the two threads below shows this forum has very few true "Car Enthusiast" on it really your posting hate about the same car you drive with factory mods. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75352 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63040 |
Sucks that the the RS 1.0 Aero kit looks like a bad cheap replica of the JDM TRD kit... a yellow painted JDM TRD would look way nicer...
|
They should have put the TRD Supercharger in the RS 1.0 to make it worth it.
|
@Supercharged I think there's a lot of FR-S owners that wish Toyota/Scion would offer a supercharger for the car I agree 100% with your statement. http://i1011.photobucket.com/albums/.../thank-you.gif

First of all you do realize that TRD parts were made and available before the 1.0 came out. Before the 1.0 came out it was inspired by another car previously built with similar TRD parts and more, a lot more. The first one I saw was almost 2 years ago and it was a whiteout...Sooo any GT86/FRS can use TRD parts and NOT be a poser...and yes i know there are some differences with the 1.0 |
Quote:
OK whatever bro... Please post a link to these parts before the RS 1.0 was released meaning the body kit. I understand the other parts have been available in JDM land. |

No one is jealous calm your tits |

I read someplace a few years back that there are almost twice as many Chevelle SSs on the road now than were actually made so posing is certainly nothing new. Don't understand the level of hate this car gets. It is just a special edition and if people don't like it they don't have to buy it. I bet that most of the guys slamming it have done a bunch of mods to make their own cars stand out. Like you said later in the thread just take the imitation as flattery and run with it! |
Quote:
You don't see me getting mad at people for installing leather seats or DLR headlights on their FRS. Grow up man. |
Quote:
I'm not mad I just think this and every other FR-S RS 1.0 thread lately is full of negative replies. With that said "true car enthusiast" don't put down another owners car and the sad thing is this isn't the first time the poor 10 Series FR-S got a beat down also. btw @funwheeldrive I'm a adult not a child like most of the keyboard warriors here. btw NEWBIE I'm on my 4th FR-S and your kind of new here so how about reading some post before saying some of the off wall sh!t to me. Anyone who thinks I care about the members post content here needs to wake up because I don't care about what people post it's the webz. Next..... |

Look, I'm not trying to start a fight with you, but I just don't understand why you think fellow FRS owners should be denied certain parts just because they were offered on a special edition car? I think its rather selfish and elitist of you. Would you call me a poser for buying underbody panels since they were only available for the Series Blue BRZ? |
$2831 for a steering wheel? Seriously? Why?
