F1 2010
anyone else played yet? so far it's pretty sweet. went straight into expert mode, haha. no abs, no assists. ran a 1:35.7 on suzuka with the Lotus after about 6-7 laps.
on PS3. because xbox is lame. :D |
xbox has better controllers

Oh and Live > PSN atm, as far as speed and accessibility goes. |
Xbox>PS3 IMO, but we don't want to turn this thread into an Xbox vs. PS debate.... *whispers* When it comes down to it, which console gets played most at my house? The Xbox */whispering*
I haven't played F1 2010 yet, but I may rent it out just to see what it's like. |
okay, so 3 people for "no, i haven't played it yet."

anyway, BTT... qualified on pole for the first time in career mode in Malaysia. that track is a bit tricky to learn, but once i got it figured out, i could really start putting some laps together. couldn't reel in vettel during the race, but got a podium finish! i can see that this game is going to be an addiction. |

my car is on expert. the AI is set to hard for this first run through the career mode. so it could be more difficult, but this is good enough for now
|
Jeez man I'm having a reaaalllly hard time with the car set to hard. I've decided I won't play carear until I get accustomed to A "sim" game again bloody nfs and it's arcade racing!
|
yeah, it's definitely got a bit of a learning curve. i think the main thing is to hit your braking points, and be PATIENT with the throttle.
|
yea thats where i stuff it up im too eager on the throttle but ironically in the rain i was doing my best driving after i calmed down and that was with only the traction on medium which is weird i was more settled in the wet lol.
did u watch the singapore grand prix? i saw alonsos qualifyer and was stunned on how late he was picking up the throttle, great race massa up 14 places WOW and the red bulls are just freaky with finding pace from nowhere |
yeah, i saw singapore. that was an AWESOME race to watch. i got a kick of how easily Kubica passed people when he put on his fresh tires at the end. i wouldn't say the red bulls got pace out of nowhere, they're quick cars with a ton of downforce. singapore is a high downforce track, so it makes sense.
|
na i meant how vettel could just turn on the pace when he felt like catching back up to Alonso, everyone thought he was going flat out and he goes im not even trying that was mad. what about massa on 1 set of tyres for the whole race and from 24th moved up to finish in 8th position, just cant get enough of F1
|
oh, i thought it was apparent that vettel wasn't pushing that hard most of the race. he knew alonso wasn't going to let him pass and figured there was no point in using up his car the whole race.
i really think they need less durable tires though. Massa's race this time was fine, but when Button ran almost the whole race in Australia on the OPTIONS and still was running quick-ish times, i think something needs to change. there needs to be even more of a performance difference between the two compounds. |
well the tires wont be this durable straight off with pirelli next yr, i mean they will be good but they wont be near as good as bridgestone in their first yr.
what about kobayashi in valencia, alonso in monaco amd there we acouple more i think someone on the options at silverstone but cant quite remember. with a bigger gap in the compounds the races will be more like montreal, and that isnt necessarily a bad thing |
Meanwhile, in Maranello.....
http://www.examiner.com/images/blog/...n_the_wall.jpg :bellyroll::bellyroll::bellyroll: Congrats Seb! |
It was the most BORING race of the season!!!!!!!!!!

you knew what the outcome was the moment webber and the ferraris pitted and got caught behind petrov, hamilton was never going to pass vettel and it really didnt matter what button did the race and the championship was decided.
|

Button crashing into Vettel and Petrov taking out both Alonso and Webber would have made for an "unexpected" outcome. |
i actually wouldve welcomed that but button wouldnt crash lol, although petrov taking out webber and alonso was kinda why i kept watching the race after the ferraris pit stops.
ahh well onto 2011 and a more competitive Lotus!!!!! |
Next year they're getting some new moveable rear wing that can reduce drag on a drafting car that they are hoping will allow more passing.
Should be interesting to see if it'll actually work. That was partly the idea of KERS too... As for the Red Bull cars FIA is changing one of their scrutineering procedures as apparently Red Bull cars found some way to dynamically change their front wings or ride height in a way that the FIA doesn't like. (ie: no one else figured it out and complained to the officials) |
Quote:
lmao thats the only reason the rules ever get changed, other teams complaining about other teams ie: team manager: how are they so much faster than us? team engineer: i dont know, theyve figured out how to make the front wing flex alittle more team manager: hmmmm. they must be cheating. i'll go have a talk to the FIA lol! |

Heh... |
so been reading up on this new Lotus Renault GP team as a bid to make lotus more competitive and am wondering:
This means that Lotus that there will be one less team in the field in 2011 and im kind of liking it, ive always like Lotus and i finnaly found a Renault i like, the new Megane(we just got it down here...), and this means that Lotus WILL be a hell of alot more competitive in 2011, but what now happens to Trulli and Kovalainen?? because Kubica shouldnt be dropped and Vitaly did well but Trulli and Kovalainen were the reasons Lotus made it to 10th so what happens now?:iono: |
there are going to be two lotus teams. the lotus from this year, and my understanding is that renault is going to turn into lotus renault.
|
thats what i thought at first too but i remember tony fernandes saying the teams was going to switch to the old yellow and black scheme and now the renault one is black and yellow(well at least the rendering is) and the report on F1.com made it sound like the teams were merging and then at the end they say that tony fernandes team will continue to race as team lotus but if you look at the teams entry list FIA posted lotus was already down as lotus renault and renault was just renault, its confusing
|
KERS is coming back next year? You need to have ADHD to keep up with F1 rules changes...
(And when are they going to 1.6L 4 cylinder turbos? 2013?) |
Quote:
Change is progress!(lol) (yes 2013) so enjoy the V8's while you still can! |
