Duff_man 06-03-2012 01:58 PM

Heated seats if you have a BRZ Limited

yuli8466 06-03-2012 11:12 PM

How about this : a really good button for a controller of the exhaust sound: quiet, loud, instead of the wireless controller like bluetooth

luxmn 06-03-2012 11:17 PM

My vote: stealth mode toggle lol

Laika 06-03-2012 11:22 PM

All good ideas. Push Button start would be nice. Keep it in the theme of the buttons that are already there, and not s big red button lol. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It would just look cleaner.

Fog light controller: front on (with or without lights), front and back on, both off

You sure about that? The JDM cars don't that I've seen pics of.. and why would you? It starts in second gear in the AT, it would do nothing in an MT car.

yes im sure. the toyota 86 in asia, philippines in particular that are LHD cars has that middle buttons on manual transmission cars

DaJo 06-21-2012 10:05 PM

Replace that empty spot with a button for an electrical hide-away retractable license plate! No need for those holes in the bumpers or those offset tow-hook mounts! :happyanim:

JDM doesn't.. according to toyota.jp anyways in the few pics that you could tell.

What does it do on a MT car? I actually want to know because I can't think of a single purpose for it. It's an ECT button toyota has used for decades more or less.

DaJo 06-21-2012 10:17 PM

I am pretty sure only the AT has that "Sport/Snow" button in the middle; regardless whether it's an 86, FR-S, BRZ, or GT86... We need interior pictures of those "toyota 86 in asia" you speak of.

Now this is like Getaway in Stockholm-esque! And Bond-like!

Khyron686 06-22-2012 02:03 AM

I might do garage door opener instead of getting homelink mirror/visor.

Mitch 06-22-2012 11:25 AM

You could install the button used with the auto transmission and connect it to an e-cutout on the exhaust.

Lil Abner 06-22-2012 11:46 AM

I actually took the panel apart and checked what it's like. The pictures are back home, so I can't upload them.

The "panel" that's there is actually a rocker switch. After shaving off 4 small bits, the switch rocks forward and backward. As of now, there is no resistance to the switch.

However, the circuit board below is already setup for a switch pushing forward and backward. What's missing? Well, it needs 2 push pins to connect the rocker to the contact pads. It also needs the PCB pins and the connector pins. I plan to check my stock of connector pins in a week when the car is torn apart.

In the end, once all the correct parts are sourced, it will be very easy to make that rocker switch control whatever you want. Garage remote. Radar Detector Mute. Ejector Seat.

Interesting... Of course, since I have the 6AT mine is already occupied. I'd definitely do the garage door there otherwise.

The ejector seat would really be my first option, but that might be a little tough on the roof.

os86 06-22-2012 12:17 PM

that button is reserved for NAAWS...

ubersoph 06-22-2012 12:54 PM

Awaiting images with baited breath :)

I will lable it IID.

Points for those who can guess what that one is.

rice_classic 06-25-2012 09:39 PM

I'm developing an aftermarket part for the car that will have a button installed in that space that will make the car run 90% quieter.

When you push the button, she stops talking.

I know I know.. bad joke.;)
