Hate those ugly visor warnings?

I hate staring at this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...n/c25f76d8.jpg

But they are painted on, not stickers, so they will most definitely not peel off. So, I used some commonly available sticky-back sheets of felt available at any craft store (this is "Presto Felt" brand),

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...n/3056aba7.jpg

Used a metal ruler and a sharp knife to cut 10cm x 12cm rectangles, and rounded off the corners with a scissors.

And now I have this:

Much better, eh?

Now my modding career is essentially over...

Cheers,

Dave

I am new to the asian car world but why not just get the ROW pieces for the car instead? Or is that more dificult than it is with euro cars?

FakeWhiteMan 06-03-2012 02:09 PM

Hmmmm I've never even noticed that on my car :iono:

Look at it as an opportunity to learn some French ;)

Cost, I'm sure.

I'll be in Japan in August. This is 2nd on my list of things to buy. :)

Rubbing alchohol + elbow grease removes these without affecting the vinyl.

If that is the case, I am certainly doing this to my FRS if it comes with those silly warnings facing me.

M3MPHIS 07-20-2012 09:54 PM

That looks worse than the warning...

Plasti Dipped Mine !

DaJo 09-02-2012 04:16 PM

Never seem to notice mine in the car... Is this another one of those OCD things? (Noticing too many things in detail when you jump into the car) XD

TouchMyHonda 09-02-2012 05:06 PM

Plasti dipped for the win

honestly, why not just get a vinyl made that is the exact dimensions and have the frs/brz emblem printed on it? the vinyl can be the same color as the sun visor.

_F-R-S_ 09-03-2012 10:12 AM

i Burned mine.. with them still in the car.. bad idea

Slartibartfast 09-03-2012 10:47 AM

I got some black microfiber cloth at the local fabric shop. going to cover them with the cloth with red stitching. If I have enough left... new red stitched helmet bag!
:-)
I'll post pics when done.

Turbowned 09-03-2012 11:24 AM

I'll pay JPM Coachworks to cover mine in Alcantara, like a boss! Gonna cost a *wee bit* more than the plasti-dip solution, though ;)

Chad86 12-14-2014 10:48 PM

Apparently the Euro spec visors do not have stickers on them. Anyone know where I can purchase these?

I'm pretty sure my Canadian BRZ doesn't have that sticker...

mrlewistan 12-16-2014 06:51 PM

they arent too terribly difficult to take apart. id recommend you vinyl wrap it. theres a diy somewhere on the forum for it

Turbowned 12-17-2014 02:40 PM

Warning labels all gone! Thanks to JPM Coachworks :)

Thanks for the pic, these look really good! Did you have to send them in or can they just send the covers?
