Wallets...
So today I was just thinking about my wallet. I've had the same basic timberland leather wallet for more than 10 years, i think it cost about $40. It has not worn much besides some mild stretching of the card slots. I never really thought much about it until today.
This is the stock photo of what I have. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7QYCOUtiu...and+3U354d.jpg Just wondering what kind of wallets you guys have. What made you choose it. I know people are into watches and such so I'm sure some of you have some strong wallet preferences/opinions. |
I recently found this wallet from Maxpedition at one of my local outdoor shops. Less than $25 out the door and seems really well contructed. A great everyday wallet. I went with OD green.

I've had the same leather wallet I got from Kohl's for 11 years. Don't plan on upgrading until it breaks. I've seen designer wallets and they are nice, but every time I contemplate spending money on one I end up either buying car parts, gun parts and accessories , or some electronic gadget. Different people, different priorities.

Got a custom Bride wallet

I have a big skinny. Looks pretty cheap and feels as so...but my ass thanks me in the long run.

I've had the same Levi's wallet for about a year and a half. It has mesh instead of clear plastic for my driver's license, so that's starting to break, but other than that its good.

I had a Pulp Fiction "Bad Mother Fucker" wallet for about a year until I left it at a restaurant… Was the best wallet I ever had...

Slimmy - solid front pocket wallet if you don't have to carry much. I started with the Slimmy Original and now using the X Slimmy.
I started using a front pocket wallet once I realized that sitting on a traditional rear pocket wallet all day long was giving me discomfort and posture issues. |

I haven't carried a wallet in decades. Have always found "alternative" ways to carry important cards, cash just goes in front pocket. He's my latest card carrier, probably had this for 8 years or so. (old cell phone belt case) For those who are wondering....no, I don't walk around with it clipped on my belt like a doofus, but if and when I do, on rare occasion, it's covered by my shirt, but I usually just pocket my Amex, Visa and license.

I only have a few cards and my drivers license:

Never understood how people lived with George Costanza wallets full of receipts, 12 reward cards, 7 gift cards and coins. Who in their right mind puts coins in a wallet? |

For everyone else, get those wallets out of your back pockets and stop sitting on them! Its not good. |
I use the black/red slimmy special edition wallet. Slim, front pocket friendly, and matches the black/red stitching in my BRZ. :)

Another vote for the Slimmy. I switched to a front pocket wallet about 4 years ago and love it. Keys and wallet in the left pocket and phone in the right.

Go to Florence every few years.
Hit up the street vendors. Florence has the best leather industry in the world. The men's wallets I have from the street venders in Florence are the most supple I've ever come across, with silk linings and extremely fine stitching. Cheap cheap. No name. Looks like they're available online also, but most of them have been stamped with a brand name and increased ten-fold in price. Not quite as fun, but still worth it. :-) |
I use one of the super slim All-Ett nylon wallets. I used to carry a really thick wallet in my back pocket but started having issues, especially in the tighter fitting seats some of my sports/sporty cars have. The All-Ett is so skinny I can't even tell its there. They last 4-5 years and then I buy another one for $20 or so.

I have been using a money clip wallet that Gucci makes for Nearly a decade now. They're a little pricy but I'm on my second for the last 4 years and it's still going strong.
