TRD, flows soooo much better with the lines of the car than Top secret. Looks amazing in red too, with some black or CF accents!

I've had impure thoughts of what a built 3MZ could do in my Supra. Spool better, flow more, rev more, less weight over the front...

I'm dead serious. A minivan engine. In my Supra.

^ If you find your supra burnt to the ground, you can come on here and thank me.

If it's not a JZ, then 3S or UZ. Anything else is blasphemy.

Snaps 09-15-2010 07:10 PM

Have you thought of doing a mix of the two?

i.e. TRD rear bumper, sideskirts, and both rear and front quarter panels, and mating the top secret front bumper to the TRD front quarters?

I have been trying to motivate a 7M powered buddy to go UZ. His 7M is pretty badass with a billet GT35R and a quickspool valve putting out over 500 to the wheels with water-meth, but it's a stock 7M so it is running on borrowed time.

This should karmically balance out the 3MZ thoughts.

The aluminum V6 thoughts come from this thing I've heard about called 'responsive turn-in'. Is this something real? Could someone please explain to me what it is? It sounds pretty neat.

Are you talking about Orochi's 3.3 liter v6 engine?
If you are here's the lil spec on it

It's in Camrys, ES330's, Sienna's, etc... It's a closed-deck aluminum block V6 with VVT-i. It's also oversquare with a 92mm bore and 83mm stroke. It's compact, light, and with proper internals, valvetrain and flow it could rev like crazy. Add a couple GT28R turbos and holy crap that would be awesome in a Supra. Handling properties would be drastically improved too.

As for that Mitsuoka, and since this thread is actually about JZA80 styling, what the hell is with Japanese auto stylists and catfish?

LOL actually name Orochi came from Japanese old mythology. Full name is Yamata no Orochi (8 headed serpent?). Orochi was suppose to be snake, dragon & thing. I guess, it was relative of Lernaean Hydra who came to Japan :bellyroll:

As for the engine, I'm not sure. I'm not expert of Toyota engine at all.

I think it would at least need a lip like he has, doesn't look right to me without something there, I dunno

I agree, but the reason i want one of these is for the width, I've always wanted a wide-body for the offset and just the style, so again not one really is not an option but I appreciate yalls .02

Snaps 09-16-2010 06:16 AM

I agree, very little looks better than a widebody TRD rear with massive wheels and tires! :) (Read: 305's < X)

Lol 355's?!?

Snaps 09-16-2010 05:54 PM

355's are good. :D (I did only say 305's though :P)

andreasue 11-04-2010 02:25 AM

TRD!

I would choose TRD based from looking at gun metal colored toyota wheels. Nothing beats the original! The body and the wheels everything is just perfect!

Sorry Ive been busy and neglected most of my threads, I apologize, but update is I've decided, and basically doing what you suggested, everything of the TRD body except the front, I'm still undecided on with front piece to go with, and now that you mention it I'm kinda interested in what the TRD body, with top secret front would look

Is it possible to photo shop the two in to one? Is anybody that talented, I'm not saying y'all arnt, I'm not familiar with photo shopping stuff like that so that's why I ask?

VenomRush 11-04-2010 03:17 PM

a show car company in my area made a replica of that supra... pretty sweet
their name was/is Highend Performance

Which supra?

Snaps 11-04-2010 05:25 PM

Yep, I'm probably talented enough to give you a good idea. :) Just get me a few pictures of each, roughly the same angles, preferably the same colour (needs to at least BE a colour, not white, silver or Black, otherwise I can't add colour easily).

Yeah, get those for me and it should be pretty easy. :)

Edit: Should look great with that combination of body parts, as I said ;P
