Current brz Prices
Hi guys, I'm relatively new to the forum so don't ban me please if I broke some rule. I was wondering how much people bought their 2015 brzs for. I'm currently looking to buy a series blue and I haggled the price down to 27725 for a 30430 otd. Should I try and go lower, or is that the lowest it can get?
|
That's a great price for a series blue. I was 28,885 with the standard extras (rear bumper applique, chrome trim, wheel locks, etc). You're already below invoice, so while you can try to go lower, I doubt you'll get very far.
|
What I'm thinking is trying to get them to do 30,000 out the door. I was at one stealership on Saturday and the guy tried to add the destination on the price after we agreed on the number. Walked out on him.

I was haggling in a limited too, the lowest I got was 25600 on a 2015, another dealer was going to go lower on a 2014 limited, but I fell in love with the series blue after I saw it. I think I'll go ahead and take it. Just gotta figure out the right financing. Thanks for the input guys!
|
depends on your tax rates... but generally, I've seen MSRP OTD as a good price. You can always go check edmunds TMV to get a general idea of what ppl around you are paying.
|
I paid $32K OTD for my Series.Blue, so yes, it's a good price.
|
if you can get a limited at 25600 otd, get that and get the series blue add ons after and it'll be cheaper than 30k otd for a series blue.
|
You think it'll be less than 1900? I just got an email saying the lowest they can go is 27500. And I really love the blue accents

Just got off the phone with the dealer about an hour ago - picking it up tomorrow in white. Saw it today on the lot - still covered in the factory plastic:cheers: Now gotta re-learn stick shift again, but yesterday took a ride in buddy's 93 miata and didn't stall even once, so I take that as success:bonk: |

- STI body kit $1235 (us dealer prices) - STI wheels $1653 (need to buy the center caps as well) (US dealer prices) - STI push start button $132 (japanparts) - JDM underbody panels $156 (japanparts) - JDM knee pads $225 (japanparts) All that plus shipping and install. Not to mention the blue interior accents which would cost a whole boatload more. Or that this might be a 2014 vs 2015 model which would mean you'd have to get the shark fin antenna, exhaust tips, and shocks/springs to bring it in line with the Series.Blue. If you care about resale, having a limited edition cars is going to depreciate less... |

Thats a great price, I paid that much for a 2014 limited... last week. The dealer refused to move much on any of the 2015's .. especially the series blue.
|
It might be a gamble but you are in Chicago and it is almost October.. Once Nov/Dec hits the dealer will drop prices quite a bit to move these cars. Trust me. These cars do not sell in the mid-west from Dec-April.. You might save yourself another $1000-1500.
But it is a gamble waiting. |
Hello all, I thought I'd bump this thread with a pricing question (hope the OP doesn't mind).
I was looking to possibly place an order for a '15 Premium at an MSRP of $26,490... I was trying to aim at acquiring a $2,500 - $3,000 discount... Tried two dealers and they are meeting me with only about $1,200 off. I realize I can go for an out of state deal but I want to stay local for now... What do you all think? Am I just expecting too much? |
I'm not sure on the pricing of a premium. But you should be able to get a limited for 25600. Check out the Heuberger motors and try to get your local dealer to match their price. I got my series.blue (msrp of 31k) for 27500

It's tempting to just go ahead and pull the trigger since the BRZ's driving experience is worth every penny anyway, but I'd hate to leave money on the table. |
If they're giving you only 1200 off that means you're gonna pay 25200 for a premium? You should be getting a limited for 25600. I mean I got dealers in Chicago match Heuberger motors price.
|
Also, regardless of the markup on my series.blue - it's a limited edition only 1000 made for US so they are not willing to haggle much. I've contacted every dealer within 200 miles by the way. Do your research.

Guys. I just moved to Chicago, and am looking into a BRZ. Can you guys tell us which dealerships exactly you went to, or maybe even recommend the sales representative you worked with? Perhaps they'd be more interested in making a good deal if I told them I was recommended to them from a previous buyer...?
|
I doubt it if you told them you came from me hahahaha. I'd say evanston subaru and autobarn subaru in countryside were pretty good. Don't go in there right away. Negotiate a price over email
|
I've already been to Evanston Subaru, lol. I didn't do much negotiation (just kind of walked in and said, "Just give me an idea what a .Blue would cost?") and it was over $30k with taxes and everything. Like I said, though, I didn't sit down and start haggling. I just asked the guy for a ballpark figure and left.
I'm not even sure HOW to negotiate. Is it literally just repeating, "That's too much," over and over again until they don't seem to want to go lower? |
Current brz Prices
I got my blue at that. 27500 +ttl, I don't think you can get it much lower. And I got it form evanston. Well the first price they told me was msrp lol. After which I told them it's outrageous and a dealership 30 miles away has the car for 28 and it went on and on
|
Well I'm not even looking into a Blue. I just wanted to high-ball my starting point. I'd rather a fully-optioned Limited anyway. I just see all these people saying MSRP OTD so I'm really hoping a regular limited will be a few thousand cheaper.
|
The lowest I heard limited to was 25600

Can you give me some tips for negotiating. I am just looking for the right price to buy mine and most quote 30k or above. + fees. Also which area do u live in? |
I'd also like some negotiation tips. I actually live in Evanston, so that will likely be where I purchase the vehicle from.

I'm at work right now and it's kind of a long type. I'll write it out tomorrow. But my negotiating only applies to a series.blue. I didn't negotiate about limited or premium too much

Join the group upper Midwest frs brz gt86 owners. And pm me on here so I don't forget haha

So I did forget, now I saw this and I'll write it out.
The first e-mails I sent out to the dealers I just asked for the price, and most got back within the 29900-31000 range. Then I went on cars.com and looked for all the series.blue prices in the U.S. and the lowest was at Gary lang for 27997. I asked him to drop it to 27500 and I'd come in to get it. When I came in, he slapped a fee on top (destination) and started bsing me about my financing and credit score (I'm 763 - can't tell me my score is bad). I walked out on him and called Evanston right away - they price matched me at 27500 and also Autobarn of Countryside offered the same price, but Evanston was closer to me. If I were you I'd shoot Countryside and Evanston an e-mail saying you are offering 27,500 (if that price is acceptable for you) and you'll come pick it up on (insert day here). I doubt they'll go much lower, but doesn't hurt to try. My OTD was something close to 30k. |
When I bought this current wrx, I walked in with a check that was already made out to them with how much I was going to pay.
that worked. :-D Otherwise, haggling is just about them playing a game with you. Just have a max number you're willing to pay, and stay under it. If they're not willing or able, then just walk away. |
