You know you're a car enthusiast when...

...you ask for an OBDII reader for christmas :bellyroll: (I'm guilty of this)

...you get more excited about the engine than the actual car its in.

TylerLieberman 09-11-2014 04:37 AM

Wouldn't that mean you're an engine enthusiast?

Or you're a check engine light enthusiast?

BRZZZZZZZZZZ 09-11-2014 10:15 AM

When your garage has multiple sets of wheels and tires and parts laying around...

Guilty as charged.

I've been pretty good about actually using parts I buy, but do have an Exedy S1 clutch that's just sitting there.

Lol. I have a recently divorced friend who rebuilds porsche engines for resale.

Somehow, he has managed to move the crane, engine, tools, ect. all into his living room so he can watch TV will working on it.

THAT is a good centerpiece for a room

Wouldn't it have been easier to just buy a TV for the garage? :D

I could be wrong but there are also a lot of guys who drive mustangs with exhausts and they sound pretty similar in my opinion. also while studying I'm not paying particular attention to the note of the exhaust just the fact that it could be heard indoors while out in the parking lot

tahdizzle 09-12-2014 01:38 PM

Mustangs don't have a Subie rumble, but not all WRX's have them either.

When you look around other cars and appreciate them for there performance, example not hating on a EVO because its a 'mitsubishi' or not hating on a GTR cause "its just a nissan"

goopi 09-12-2014 05:29 PM

When you're on this forum, more specifically, when you're posting on this thread.

You are walking down the street with a group of friends and you pass by the first McLaren dealership you have ever seen in your life, then burst out into a frenzy of disbelief while jizzing your pants and humping the glass window jumping up and down screaming P1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =P

I work with a guy who just tore down the wall between his garage and living room for the purpose. Personally I dream to have a bar/lounge in my garage!

When you dream about former cars that you've owned...

Teseo 09-14-2014 11:53 AM

When youre gf leave you cuz you spend more time/money on cars stuff related.

ScoobsMcGee 09-14-2014 02:51 PM

When your monthly petrol budget is more than a family of four spends on food.

When you keep your cell phone out of pocket while driving only to take pictures of interesting cars you see in traffic.

When you're perfectly okay taking three times longer to get somewhere because the roads are more fun.
