2015 FR-S Release 1.0 BeSpoke
So I'm finalizing my order as the car is still on the boat. Dealer tells me that it has BeSpoke with Navi but has no idea on satellite compatibility. Anyone here know what HU it will be and whether or not it will be Sirius XM adaptable?
Thanks in advance. |

I was not aware that the 1.0 came with navi. In some pix of the interior it shows a map being displayed , but on the official website it makes no mention of it. Unless you paid for the option?

Mostly true, the original FRS was XM ready with an adapter.

Should be able to run xm thru your phone app and then bluetooth thru radio? At least that what my kids tell me :w00t:
I have the bespoke unit in my 2014 and I see no direct XM anywhere. |
True, I haven't seen an option from Scion to officially put a sat receiver in the FR-S. But you should be able to use the TC's XM receiver that Scion sells. Many people from various forums have done this. I also saw a post on our forums that talked about using XM radio. Take a look. Hope this helps.

I took the question as, is there a factory option for the FR-S directly. The answer to that question is, "No." There are, of course, workarounds.

I just got my 2015 FR-S about 3 weeks ago, with Navigation, and Premium Pioneer sound. Sadly their was no manual other than a "quick" start guide for the audio and navigation system, So I contacted Pioneer & Scion, which couldn't help because they said it was sold to Scion. After a little persuading, Pioneer gave me this link, and so I will share it with you. I have the BeSpoke app downloaded on my iPhone 5S, which isn't fully integrated with BeSpoke after the 4S, also I downloaded the Aha Radio app, the salesman said I would need, which is interesting at best. I can search music on my laptop, but cannot save it into a playlist to play when I drive, although I can get a premium subscription to Slacker Radio, and save the playlist, but then have to bluetooth that through a usb cord into the car, but if I want to play my playlist on my premium subscription, I have to download the slacker app, then play the app through my Premium Audio, as I said, it's not fully integrated with iPhones after the 4S, and doesn't appear their is any effort being placed into integration by anyone, although aha advertises their comparable to iPhone 4S, on the other hand, on the older models, as friends also have Premium Pioneer Audio in the FR-S (2013), their systems aren't compatable with the android. The good news is, I can operate my navigation without the use of my iPhone at all, and independently. This i've tried, because the last thing I wanted was to be in the middle of "BFE" and lose phone service, and not have directions either.... So I tested the navigation with the phone off. Also have tried and tested the above information, so i'm confidently passing it onto you. The manual for the system is online.... I downloaded it into a flash drive, then printed up the 200 page manual at office depot for about $30.00 with a 3 ring binder to store it in. Let me post the link for this audio system, and you can view it online, because No One has really been able to show me much about the system, other than pairing my phone, and selecting stations etc... Hope this answers all your questions. If you have further questions, feel free to ask, I'll try to answer what I know.

Thanks for the share. I'm sure others will want to use this manual for the BeSpoke receiver.

Thanks for your persistence and sharing.

I called Scion a couple of weeks or so ago and they could not confirm if the RS 1.0 had the Premium Bespoke Nav system as a standard option, and I got the impression that it was not standard... Correct me if I've mistaken.
Also, I was planning on placing an order for a non-RS 1.0 and adding the $1,200 Bespoke Premium Audio and Nav... Is this a fully worthwhile and function option for folks who have it in place within their FR-S? Thank you in advance. :) |

^ Yes, this helps greatly! Wish I could thank your thorough post more than once, lol.
So it looks like I'll be ordering this along with my FR-S... Good thing the nav works great, I need it as well. Btw, if I'm ordering it along with the car, is this upgrade installed at the factory / port or at the dealership? |
I ordered mine in Louisiana, I told my dealership I wanted "Ultramarine" "Navigation" "Manual Transmission" "Rear Trunk Spoiler/Fin" "Premium FR S Floor Matts" and less than 20 miles on it... Their big concern was the "Manual Transmission" every car, every dealership they searched had this car in an "Automatic Transmission" my salesman told me the Navigation was as simple as changing out the head units, thinking one face for another... and could be done at my dealership prior to me taking delivery, I Know the Floor Matts and rear fin were installed at my dealership a few days later... But the Navigation was already on board. I downloaded the "BeSpoke" App and "Aha" app and used his computer to set up the accounts as they detailed my car from being trucked over from West Texas, The rear Fin and Floor Matts were installed a few days later, because they ordered them... I went back a week later and had the Side Windows and Rear Windows Tinted to State Law Tint darkness, and an Armrest installed, only because I didn't want to take a chance screwing it up with drilling holes. Please look at a few posts back as I answered a question about the system and posted a link to the manual for the BeSpoke systems, 2013-2014 & 2015. I think the voice recognition accepts 32 commands in all, the Premium Sound is pretty much Touch screen, "AM" "FM" "Aha" "Bluetooth" "USB/iPod" this button changes depending on what you plug and play into the USB Port, "CD" and "Aux" which I haven't identified its use yet. When you get the system a couple of settings to immediately check are, "Hit/press the red speaker" which shows up on the screen when it's on, there's a button which says "General" "System" "Sound" anyways one of those buttons identifies your vehicle, whether it's a "TC" "FR S" or other model vehicle, make sure it's set to FR S, it sets up your sound system for that design car, another button in the screen, I think it's "Sound" maybe, when you press it, it gives you 3 options "Natural" which sounds like a cheap transistor radio, "Hear" which I use for radio talk shows, the 3rd is "Feel" hit that button and your Premium Sound comes to life.... You literally feel the sound, all the drum beats, all the integumentary etc literally coming through your car... I hit this button, as mine was set on "Natural" and I was dissapointed in the sound, by the time I got to the feel, I had a smile ear to ear, and was adjusting the "Bass" & "Treble" I love the sound rolling out of the cabin, also you'll find another button in their that will automatically raise and lower the volume based on road noise, speed, whatever, when you stop at a red light, the volume automatically decreased, and increases with hwy noise so your not constantly adjusting it.

Still no help to be found with adding Sirius to HU. A local shop in Jacksonville, who the dealer sends custom work to, told me that there have been problems with getting the interface kit to work. Anyone have success with this yet. Shop said they would try but couldn't guarantee it.
