FR-S Friction Drive at CVS Pharmacy $5.99
 

MomHawk needed to make a spur of the minute stop at a local CVS Pharmacy today to buy a birthday card. While she was doing that, I found this!

Friction drive (pull back and release). It unfortunately does not drift and seems to have its own torque dip off the line.

Pretty nice metal model for $5.99. Fog lights, red tails and chrome full-size tips as standard equipment! Sadly, they only had one.

Some nice simple mods. Does it have crickets?

Doesn't seem to, but I can't be sure the rubber snakes in the next bin didn't eat them all.

I got the cheap remote one from walmart and when it runs it clicks like mad just like the real thing. Grandsons thought I had lost my mind was laughing so hard when they started running it.

Actually, now that you mention it, I tried again and the friction drive does click when its moving!

My son has a whole bunch of these cars from CVS. I have yet to find a FRS though.

My wife got me this for Valentine's Day. We finally got a real one a few weeks ago when I saw a 2015 on sale(!)

Why would they not get the wheels right?

it would be pretty cool to get one of those and stick it to the corner of your dash, with matching color of your car. I remember being younger and saw someone do that with a beetle and thought it was cool.

Oh great now I have to go to the States!

Then you would have to make a very tiny one to stick on the corner of the dash of the one on the corner of your dash to blow everyone's mind.

Picked mine up last year when my wife surprised me with a trip to Vegas to celebrate my 40th birthday. Definitely more accurate than the Hot Wheels version. It isn't bad considering it sells for about $6. We also bought it at CVS.

the exhaust tips look better on the model than on my car. So sad

Probably too expensive to two tone them to match would be my guess.

Bought one at my Toyota dealership last week. They had a display case of four colors: raven, whiteout, red, and lot lava. Slightly higher at $8.99 but better that driving to every CVS in town. Amazon also sells them online also.

Unfortunately, the model looks like its more solidly built than our twins LOL.

Seen the blog , went to cvs and swooped 2 red ones and a white one . Will be giving one to my buddy . I even found a wr wrx that I sweeped !!!!

Went to 6 cvs on my trip to Tennessee and didn't find a single one! Guys from work now think I am a little odd!

Idk, some Toyobarus had some panel fitment issues from the factory. Yours looks just like them! lol

Yep, sure is. I couldn't even see it with the "naked eye" despite better than 20/20 vision. The amazing part is it has that level of detail...

Supposed to come in two colors. Did you see the second one?

I got the Hot Lava one on eBay for $6 shipped if CVS is out of them.

Pretty sure it only comes in that color. The other car is a Supra and that's all they had in the same spot on the shelf.
